Excellent bike as good as my childhood Schwinns
Nice to see the quality I grew up with is still there.I've not been writing reviews lately as I should, but I have to leave one to counter the silly negative reviews here. Bikes get flat tires after two months. Forks get bent during shipping. Sometimes a package is missing a part. Nuts loosen and need tightening. But these are not reasons to leave a 1, 2, or 3-star review. The quality and workmanship is very good. My son rides his pretty hard (as hard as a 10-year-old can) and uses it for BMX. He's had it since his October birthday, 2017. Other than now needing new tires, it has held up perfectly. Surprisingly (because they are not center-pull), even the handbrakes work very well.I've had to adjust the brakes, fix flats, adjust the chain (new chains stretch), and replace the seat. It needs new grips. The seat and grips are my son's doing from laying it down (laying it down while riding, a controlled crash; it has a kickstand otherwise). The only oddity I've noticed is the crank seems to need tightening fairly regularly. This puzzles me, as the design is the same as Huffy, Wal-Mart bikes, or virtually any other solid (one-piece) crank. I've never had to tighten one as often as I've had to tighten his. Now as I write this I suspect the problem is a slightly misshapen bearing cage that got bent the first time the crank came loose -- my fault for letting it get so loose -- so now I can't tighten it properly). Tightening the crank is exceedingly simple (I explained the procedure in a comment to a 1-star review here).I revisited this listing looking for specs because I'm getting my son mag rims for Christmas, and after seeing some rather silly reviews I thought I should add a sensible one.At his request, I removed the number plate from the handlebars (two questions about that above). Just snipped a few zip ties.Again, this bike is well-built and tough. Looks nice, too, especially with the blue-anodized rims & spokes. I highly recommend it.

I've always thought Schwinn to be a good bike brand
I've always thought Schwinn to be a good bike brand; however, I was mistaken at least with this model. We ordered this bike for my son's birthday. He loved it, but within a month the chain started slipping and eventually the gear shaft that holds the pedals broke. Amazon was great in replacing the bike as it was just a few days passed the return date. We received the 2nd bike a few weeks ago and the same thing has happened. I'm very disappointed and my son is heart broken. I'm only hoping Amazon will accept a return on this second bike.

I spent weeks looking for the perfect bicycle for my 7 year old
I spent weeks looking for the perfect bicycle for my 7 year old. We even took him to the toys store. All of the 20 inch bikes were way too big for him. So, I went to Amazon and came across this one! This bike is the perfect size for him. Bigger than an 18 inch, but not quite so big his feet can't touch the ground. It's very nice quality and very sturdy. We added training wheels to it as well. I also love that there is a front brake on the handle bars as well as the foot break since he is just learning to ride. Excellent bike!

Nice bike kids love it
Nicely made, no problems with assembly other than I put air in the front tire before I tried to put it on. Had to deflate again to push past the brakes

Great bike for price
Very nice bike well designed. I would have rated it five stars if the rear tire inner tube was not defective.

Good Looking Bike
Bike lasted until the rear bearing fell apart. Finding bearing replacement next to impossible. Need to replace the whole rear wheel.

Good
Was easy to put together. Strudy but the chain comes off quite often.
