Perfect scale for extreme accuracy.
Love these little scales for baking and coffee beans. For the price, you can't beat it and it's VERY accurate as checked with 1g, 5g and 20g laboratory weights. Perfect for weighing coffee beans or baking soda. Very good product.

Good, but more cheaply made than before
I've bought two of these in the past, they tend to last about four years before the buttons give out. Sadly, this latest one feels much lighter and cheaper, and I'm worried one drop would shatter it. I hope it lasts, because I've always liked these scales for their functionality and durability.

Perfect for weighing espresso doses
This isn't any good for pour over techniques. It has no fancy bluetooth connection and does not time your shot but, for a very low price, it does a lot to improve your espresso technique starting with measuring your grinder's retention which is very important when you are single dosing and, of course, knowing the dose in the portafilter. For that purpose, what you need is 0.1g precision which means you need to get reapeatable results. For example, ideally the scale would show the same number when it weighed the same amount of coffee as beans or ground so that you know any difference in the number would be due to retention. I have been brewing my own espresso for over ten years and have used four or five scales that claimed to have the 0.1g precision. None did. Sometimes they would be off as much as 0.5g. For this purchase I decided to go with one that claimed 0.01g. I just got this scale and, of course, it does not have 0.01g but you can trust it to 0.1g which is all you need for brewing espresso. I just did the testing using single coffee beans.Besides not having the fancy extras, it does have the limitation of 500g so it is not good as a general kitchen scale but, with the low price, you can afford to get another scale for that. And 500g means you can use it to measure the liquid in the cup while you are brewing so that you can get whatever liquid to dose ratio you prefer. It is low enough that you can fit it below your cup. You are going to need a separate timing device for your shots but many of the new espresso machines have a built in timer. I have not found any scale with a timer that claims 0.01g precision. They are all designed for pour overs with 3000g or as a minimum 2000g limits and 0.1g precision and many reviewers complain that the precision is exaggerated. That includes the supposedly premium scales that cost over $200.I just got this scale today and cannot vouch for durability but I do not see any flimsy materials.

Will last with good care
Works as advertised, and hasn’t broke yet after 2+ years of use.Easy to use with intuitive buttons.Stainless steel top is easy to clean with wipe or towel. Not that bulky but does feel a bit cheap in terms of build quality, still hasn’t broke though so something’s sturdy in the interior.

Great for crafting!
This is a terrific little scale for the price. I am using it for craft purposes to weigh yarn. As with any knitter, I have small unknown amounts of yarn left over from EVERY project. Now I have a way to weigh what is left and calculate approximate yardage from weight. I also use it to determine amount of yarn to finish a row instead of playing 'yarn chicken'. The trays make perfect covers for the unit to ensure it doesn't accidently get turn on and it fits nicely in my drawer. It is definitely easy to use and measures the same as the expensive yarn scale my friend uses. I am sure it is perfect for weighing food portions as well but right now, I am not using it for that. And, for the price, it was worth every penny.

Best scale for the price. And I had many.
The first one I bought was a britfit green . 2nd scale amir. Same companies I think. It was perfect every time , especially after you calibrate it. Don't use nickels. Get an actual weight and calibrate it. And it will stay the same after you turn it off. A lot of skills I have you have to calibrate every time you turn on. Not these ones. Cannot beat the price.
