Finally - I don't have to buy any type of exfoliator (cream or liquid) that claims to remove dead skin. This lava stone does. And another thing ... how many times over a few decades did I buy "pumice stones" that looked like bricks, were light in color and did nothing to remove dead skin from my feet? Now that I have this brown nubby rock, I don't have to buy anything else. Just soak your feet and rub them with the pumice stone to remove dead skin. Be careful not to rub too hard or you could chafe your skin. Follow up with a good, natural oil or cream as an emollient.

This is an attractive stone that fits perfectly in your palm. This means that one has full control of how much pressure you use on your skin.The stone was packaged in a small platic bag and shipped in a padded envelope. There were no instructions with it, but the simple use instruction are on their page at Amazon. The follow-up email gave instuctons as well.I have no idea if this is actually real lava pumice, but it certainly seems to be to my non-expert eye. What's most important is that it works like real pumice. It's abrasive, but doesn't cut the softer skin around your calluses. I waited a couple of weeks before posting any review to be able to remark on its effectiveness. It's definitely controlling callus build-up on my foot and I've had no problems with any injury.The stone cleans up well with a blast from my shower nozzle.I've never had a stone that worked this well. I'll never buy any from a chain store again.

Received this yesterday. Took a shower and plugged the drain so my feet would get a nice soak. I put body wash on my feet and scrubbed away. I don't just have a few dry spots. I have been going barefoot my whole life. I can walk on hot pavement, rocks even broken glass . It;s like having combat boots on. I have recently become diabetic. Needless to say, my barefoot days are behind me but now I have a new problem, my left foot is a size 9 and due to the front part of my foot being amputated, my right foot is a 5 but I am still building calluses at an alarming rate. This made even my horrible feet baby soft in ONE USE.

The worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. Looks like nothing as advertised. Only maybe 25% of the total surface was porous, rest is smooth and friable and overall useless.It also came in two pieces...

I had dry, cracked heels on my feet. Have used other products in the past with only okay results. This was amazing and made my feet unbelievably soft with just the first use! I will continue to use and definitely purchasing again in the future and for friends! Be sure to get the rock wet and the area you want to use. let it soak first then use. the only issue with this product is it needs some instructions perhaps.

The stone I received was not at all porous like the one in the photo. It’s basically a smooth rock and a tiny corner has a porous peice that could actually be used as a pumice stone. There other 90% is super smooth which is useless

For past 2 years I constantly battled with my dry and dehydrated skin. I had really dry feet, always cracked dry dead skin no matter the Season.Before this stone I had tried it all, chemical foot peel, listerine, electric Callus remover, cream and ointments. YOU name it I tried it! But this PUMICE stone was a game changer!Here’s the trick that’s been working for me:1. Cut 1 lemon in half and rub all over the bottom of my feet2. Soak feet in Hot water and listerine for 30 minutes minimum3. rub my feet with other lemon half.4. Use Pumice Stone (rub in circular motion)5. Dry your feet and apply moisturizing lotion followed by a dime size amount of vaseline(will assist in sealing moisture). Wear socks right after for a minimum of 3-4 hours, I do this right before bed and in the morning I have the softest feet for weeks!

Just know once you buy this there is no going back, even if the product is nothing like the one pictured. Mine is too smooth to be useful. Just a waste.I got this stone to help with foot calluses so I don't destroy dress socks. The stone I received only has one patch of rougher edge, that has more porous openings that work on calluses. Most of this stone is smoother, like a fine sandpaper, which looks nothing like the pictured product and is wholly inefficient for the purpose.Ideally, I would have exchanged it for another product that worked. But this seller/product does not accept returns through Amazon, so this is a waste of $10.Spend your money on something with a better guarantee of working OR with a seller who will help fix issues.
