If you want to put people off reading Fantasy this is the book for you
Truly terrible! badly written like a teenagers crap essay and It's warped sense of riotousness makes me worry for anyone who knows the writer. Women described as whores and apparently it's fine to be temped by young girls when married, "everybody is tempted". this is just the tip of the iceberg. Avoid!!

A Master Class
Up and coming writers should read some of David Eddings books to see how a true master builds a storyline and the people within the story. The first instalment of this trilogy set the scene for book two, it was hard to try and put the book down as there seemed a natural pause . It is sometime since I have read David Eddings books but I am looking forward to the next chapter in this story line. Fantastic Reading

This is the first time I have read a book by David Eddings band I was quite impressed. I always stick to authors I know when it comes to fantasy novels so this was a nice surprise. The story is about a knight trying to save his Queen but it is far from predictable or boring.I started reading a sample from Kindle and within a few pages, I was hooked. In fact, I finished the book in 3 days! The characters are really well thought out and come alive as you read the book (despite the fact that you meet many characters in this book, you will remember each one individually). You get completely engrossed in their adventure, as if you are there with them - really very well written.Highly recommend it to fantasy fans

excellent read
The Diamond Throne by David EddingsSometimes it’s hard to step out of the shadows of the older brother and be recognised for your own worth, and this book does that. The first time I read this was when it was first released, and perhaps I was still too closely attached to the big brother, The Belgarion series’ to be able to see just how good this book was.Re-reading it after many years away gives me a new perspective, however, and I am really glad that I bought it. It’s an excellent read.David Eddings is a wonderful writer, with well-rounded characters, good plots, excellent dialogue, plenty of action and a good splattering of humour. This book is no exception to the recipe that made him one of the best ever fantasy authors. I couldn’t put the book down, and have no hesitation about buying the next part of the series.

Poor transfer
Please be aware I am reviewing the KINDLE Edition.I am a big fan of these stories. In my opinion his work waned after the Sparhawk set and he never topped The Belagariad. However - UNLESS it has been updated - the transfer to Kindle is littered with errors. Not much fun at over a fiver a pop!Great story - poor transfer.Perhaps I should see if there is an update?
