Background: I'm 5'3 and weighs about 110-115 lbs.Purpose: (3/5) - I did feel the weight of the blanket however, I find that the weight is not that evenly distributed probably because of the size. It feels heavier around the edges rather than the top of my body. It does feel like the blanket is just 'hovering'.**Note: it was my fault ordering the size that's not appropriate for me. The blanket feels really heavy since I tried folding it in half.Feel (5/5) - the blanket feels soft and comfortable. I did feel the microbeads from time to time when I have to readjust the blanket.Temperature - I didn't feel too hot nor too cold underneath the blanket. I bought it during winter time.Customer support (SOLID 5/5) - the customer rep answered my questions and addressed my concerns promptly. They're very helpful.Last note: I probably would buy a medium size one. Since this one is too big for me. It's rather difficult to get in and out of due to the weight. If you're in a tight budget and doesn't want the feel of the beads,I would suggest to buy 2-3 heavy blankets on top of each other. It would suffice.

As someone with chronic major depression and PTSD, I heard that weighted blankets were a great tool for reliving anxiety. The 20 pound is a little heavy for me so I'd recommend going lighter, but the blanket is well worth the price. My sleep and stress levels have changed for the better.

As a kid I went to the dentist and had some x-rays of my teeth done. You know that lead vest the place over you? I've never felt more relaxed and comfortable in my life, until I got this blanket. It's great, and the denim on it is strong so i know it'll last a long time. It's not overly warm so I no longer sleep in a 50 degree room with 5 blankets on me.

I didn't know I needed this until I got it. I've always liked weight on me while I slept, my whole life. It's never something I thought about consciously though or talked to anybody about. I sleep with 3 comforters sometimes for this reason but as you can imagine, that gets crazy hot and this has been an ongoing issue in my life. Now I can sleep without being burning hot but still feel the sort of calm I get with the weight. It's expensive, but it's really a splendid item and if you think you might like it, the reality of it will blow you away.If you are an adult, you almost certainly need the XL version. I'm pretty short but the L barely covered my body and if I moved even a little would come off from over me. I was able to return it totally hassle free (and postage free, they include a return label) and get the larger one. It's fantastic.

I bought this blanket after reading an article online about weighted blankets and their positive effects on sleep. Let me tell it works. I sleep so deeply it is hard to wakeup in the morning. The blankets are heavy - you will be surprised. They are so heavy that you can't wash them in you home washer/dryer. I had to go to a laundromat (I haven't been in one in 20 years, I didn't even know if they still existed) and use a commercial washer and dryer. Also place the blanket width wise instead of length wise, and don't let the blanket hang off the side of the bed, it will stretch. And be careful to get the proper weight blanket for you. If it is to heavy you will be uncomfortable. If you have trouble sleeping or want a deeper sleep I would try a weighted blanket. Highly recommended.

If been having the many benefits of “weighted blankets” and as a person who has trouble sleeping I really wanted them to be true. This blanket was the first one I looked at. Read the reviews and then thought, I know nothing about these things and I better read more on them. Well the quality of option of “weighted blankets” is staggering. They range in price from $39-$699 and they are made out of everything from glass beads, poly pellets to straight up sand. After reading all those other reviews, I came back to this very first one. This is the perfect weight and size for one person. Keep it laying flat on bed. This has glass beads and an all in one design. I understand there are cases you can purchase, but I believe it would add un needed fabric that will make the bead blanket bunchy. One side is a cooler fabric the other is a fleece. It most definitely needs to be washed at the laundromat as it’s way to have and I didn’t want to risk damage to my washer. When you have a large down king comforter you take a trip to the laundromat anyway. Did it help me sleep better? Yes absolutely! From the very first night. I highly recommend this product.
