I'm so grateful to have found that this ceiling fan 3 speed switch was available via Amazon. I am an over 70 yr old lady who took the housing off the ceiling fan to replace the on/off and speed adjusting chain. The serial number was visible so this was an exact replacement. IT WORKS PERFECTLY.Regarding the length of the chain that was attached this switch...it's short but fine. I attached a pull chain extension that I purchased from Home Depot. It has a cute decorative thingamabob at the end of it

99% plastic. Works well as long as it is not abused.
Does the job. Make sure you take a picture of yours before you take it out as there are 4 wires to connect. Don't pull the chain too hard as the components are plastic and may not react well to adolescent style usage. That being said, it is cheep so not bad to replace. Just annoying to replace.

Short chain
So my wife keeps breaking these on our bedroom ceiling fan. Well this chain that it comes with is very short and I have to find other chains to make it longer to reach out the glass!
