i lost the previous stone in the pond, so i had to buy a replacement. it works great and solved the problem.

this 2 pack should not be this expensive. much better price available elsewhere return shipping is charged to customer. wish i had done more research before purchase. item itself works well tho

I had a small pond for several years but was not aware of these aeration stones. Since I started using them, they have made a big difference in the quality of the water and well-being of the fish. They supplement aeration of the pond in warmer months (in addition to plants and fountain), and help tremendously in winter months when the pond ices over. Using these along with a pond de-icer in the winter months has kept my pond safe for overwintering the fish.

Use these in the winter to keep my pond from freezing. Work great and cheaper to operate than a pond heater. Only use the pond heater when it freezes for multiple days.

I like this type of air stone better than the flat ones, because it stays on the bottom of the pond or tank while the flat ones float. It also provides a great, fine stream of air bubbles. But it only stays sound for a few months. After than, if you try to remove it from the air hose, the plastic part is apt to crack loose from the stone itself.

I learned that you need to replace the diaphragm in the Pond Air machine regularly or your stones won't work. That was my case, so if your new stone doesn't work, then replace your diaphragm(s)

The hole in on air ball completely block with glue. Poor quality control! Won't order again

This product is an exact replacement for the original air stones, and it does work as well as the originals. However, the reason I had to order these in the first place was that when I was trying to remove the air tube from one of the originals, the white plastic connector piece broke off along with a chunk of the air stone.The new stones worked for a while, until I needed to remove the tubing from one of them in order to clear it out. I was very careful to not stress the attachment point this time, but it still broke off along with a piece of the air stone. It may be possible to glue the piece back with aquarium sealant, but the design of the connector needs to be improved to make the attachment point less fragile.

Worked as expected, no problems. Replaced the original set after 1 year with this set. The originals were clogged with bio growth in the pores. I would love to see some instructions on cleaning these out (back pressure, ultrasonics ?) as this would extend the products useful life.

The best part is " Works"!

Helped get my pond back in shape. But they seem to be attractive to raccoons, who pull them out of the water at night, bite thru the hose/hose attachments, which is why I had to purchase replacements. Already one has disappeared. but may be under on overhanging rock. I hope.
