This was my first time using chalk paint and I LOVE how this piece turned out. I did prime my piece before painting which the directions said was not needed but I had already done it before buying the paint. I originally bought a blue chalk paint from lowes (which they messed up the tint color) and after one coat hated it which is when I found this paint on Amazon. The doors were never painted the blue so the yellow went right on the primer and only needed 2 coats like the directions say. However, the rest of the piece went over the ugly blue and needed 3-4 coats. I still have 1/5 paint left in the pint. I will buy all chalk paint from them (and not from lowes).

Thin coverage, required multiple coats to get the streaks out. Not any better than waverly chalk paint. Plastic jars are a pain once you get paint around the rim.
