It's thermal. It's cotton. It sheds severely in the wash and pills during the dry. I like it.I'm not too bothered, but recommend you don't wash this with anything else, at least the first few times. It seems colorsafe, but it sheds quite a lot of fibers. My lint trap was essentially a pad of yellow felt after one cycle in the dryer.Otherwise holding up well. Secure stitching, no loose threads, tight weave, bright fun color. It keeps me quite warm for such an open weave. I prefer the slightly rougher natural texture the cotton thread has. Quite pleased.

This blanket has weight. It isn't heavy, but it has that lovely weight of a bygone time.I like it because it allows air to circulate and gives a sense of being... just right.thank you, for quality and priced perfectly.

This is the second blanket I have purchased. I did follow previous comments and added 1 cup of vinegar to the water when washing. Really makes a difference!!!! Anything cotton should have vinegar added to wash load. Not too much detergent . I use the new wash sheets that are eco friendly that i purchased on Amazon. I don’t have to mess with pouring liquid. The wash sheets seem to work better than liquid. Back to this blanket, it did make some fuzz in dryer lint not as much as some people mentioned but yes you do get lint with every wash but less the mire you wash. That is where I believe the vinegar helps soften and cut lint amount. Over all I am pleased with this brand and recommend.

Very nice thermal blanket. Since it's cotton it does shed substantial lint on initial washings; but no more than new cotton towels when first washed and dried. I believe the negative reviews might be because so many people are purchasing synthetic fibers instead of natural cotton and thus are unaware of natural lint shedding when a cotton product is initially washed and dried. My blanket is a very nice light grey and true to color.

This blanket sheds a lot. I got the coral and it's on everything. When I wash it and dry, I have to clean the dryer filter twice before it is dry. It's crazy. But it's a beautiful color and blanket and really love it.

Bought a king-size bed. Needed a summer blanket. I hate being hot. This looked good. Turns out to be perfect. I'm only surprised a blanket this good and good looking isn't twice as much. It's lighter, even, than it looks. It breathes well.

The blanket is lightweight which is what I wanted. However, it’s not what I would say “soft” and it snags very easily

This is exactly what I was looking for. Not fleece or fuzzy but textured. Warm but won’t make you sweat in your sleep. Size makes it great to wrap up in it and it’s light weight. It’s going to be a great blanket for summer sleep, for sure. The blanket becomes even more textured than the picture after you wash & dry it.

My only caveat to anyone buying this blanket is to hold off if you have pets. Because it is a fairly loose weave, my dog has hitched it a couple times now, unintentionally of course. If you catch it quickly you can kind of stretch it back into the weave again, but otherwise there are a couple little scrunches where she has caught it.That said, this is a beautiful, light weight, stretchy blanket that is not too warm, but adds a little extra comfort to your bed.

Put through 2 cycles of wash with fabric softener but it is a lint explosion in the dryer. Make sure to wash it separately and used more dryer sheets than usual. Otherwise is a decent weighted cool blanket.

Great quality and generous sizing, it's on my bed right now, I love it, so cozy!

Used it for my guest bedroom. Bought king size for the queen size bed as I believe it will shrink a little after washing.
