Worked for my De Quervain's tenosynovitis
Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with De Quervain's tenosynovitis on my right hand. My doctor recommended using a thumb spica after mistakenly using regular wrist braces for months since the pain started. I tried 2 other thumb spicas before landing on this one and I'm so happy with this product. The other two have terrible velcro attachments that wear off quickly, so much so that I started using a rubber band to hold it together. Also, the hard piece of plastic meant to keep your thumb in place was flimsy in those other products. This is by far the best one I've used. I do use it mainly at night given how tough the plastic/metal piece is but since I've used it, I've had minimal pain in my right hand. I also use a hand massager, which works wonders for the pain. Both have decreased the painful days I used to have. Thank you for all these great reviews!

Worked for me!
The model posing with this splint is hilarious to me! He is really working that thumb splint. But honestly, the product worked great. I had been suffering from tendinitis for many months, and this helped alleviate the daily pain. After wearing for about 6 weeks, mostly at night, the pain went away for good and I had full movement of the hand again. Advice: I did take a sock and cut out finger/thumb holes to wear over the splint at night, as the Velcro was a little rough and was tearing my sheets.

A little long but made well
This is a great value and is made well. I have an average size woman's hand and the only issue I've noticed is the length of the thumb where the velcro strap is. It's about a 1/2 higher on me than the guy in the photo. So when I strap it to my wrist joint where the compression is needed the velcro attaches higher than my knuckle on the thumb and covers the tip of my thumb. If I move the brace lower on my thumb like in the photo then the wrist support strap moves down lower than my wrist joint. The metal insert is perfect to stabilize the thumb and overall this brace works exactly as I need it to.

Okay
I like this product and I hate it. The position it keeps my thumb in actually makes it hurt more. I do like the fact it can be used on any finger. Even though it makes my thumb hurt I do wear it periodically for short periods of time. I've been using it more as a reminder do not use my thumb rather than wearing it long term. I think it could be made a little better such as more adjustable. Also the little piece of cloth that goes around the wrist is a nuisance. But adds some comfort. So I wouldn't remove it. I think it's worth trying it may work better for you than it has for me. Again I do still wear it for short periods of time.

It works!
Very good brace for “mommy’s thumb”. I wear it at night when I have flare ups and it’s not too uncomfortable for me to sleep. Gives very good support and stability. I wish I had this when I was pregnant, it would have saved me a lot of pain!

Perfect for tenosynovitis
I've tried another brace and ended up returning it because it was too bulky and uncomfortable. This wrist brace is perfect for my de quervain's tenosynovitis. It limited my motion exactly where it needed to and gave me free range of motion in unaffected areas. It worked so great that I had to order 2 pairs.. one for home and another to go out (especially during this pandemic). It is comfortable to sleep in as well so that's a bonus.

Just what was needed ...
I was diagnosed with tendinitis in both hands . It had eased a lot . I didn’t want to take anymore medication nor cortisone shot . My thumb kept popping in and out , and locking , especially when I sleep . I saw a friend with a support brace , and I decided to get one for my wrist and thumb. I searched and read the reviews , and decided on this one. I read it was breathable. That was exactly what I needed. As soon as I received it , I put it on. It came with a hard plastic and a metal insert to stabilize my thumb , and to keep it from locking. I put it on . I have to remove it a lot , for cooking , rinsing dishes etc . It’s extremely durable. It’s made very well . It also has an adjustable Velcro strap for the thumb. I have some what small hands , and short fingers. It fits very well . It fits snugly around my wrist as well. I do not think you will go wrong purchasing this brace support. I didn’t.Thanks.

Too big and painful
Bought this because I needed a thumb splint that would actually support the knuckle and not just the joint at the base, like many braces I’ve seen. I thought it would have the double benefit of wrist support, but unfortunately it is so large it goes too far down. Furthermore, the Velcro is like cardboard and sandpaper in one: it is SO stiff and unforgiving, just seconds on my wrist was uncomfortable and rubbed a painful red spot onto the skin. It is so disappointing, as I was really hopefully this would help. The plastic loop through which the Velcro pulls also falls right at the side of the wrist, for more discomfort. The thumb portion would be just right, and the Velcro seems VERY strong, but the rest is AWFUL. Not for a smaller / female frame, and way too stiff materials. Going back.
