2 Pack Voltage Protector Brownout Surge Refrigerator 1800 Watts Appliance

I tried one of the Voltage Protectors on a small GE microwave and it seemed to work fine. Tried the second one on a GE refrigerator w/electronic control panel and the panel wouldn't come online. Switched the two devices between the appliances and then neither appliance would work. Then, I couldn't get the refrigerator control panel to reset for a good 15 minutes...thought I had trashed the fridge. Thankfully, both appliances are functioning properly once again. I really wanted these things to work for me, but instead they scared the volts out of me! They may work for you, but they sure didn't work for me.

Bought 2. The first one failed with the first 3 days. The second one has worked fine so far. Seller won't honor warranty. And replace it.

Within 6 hors of plugging our new refrigerator in the plug started smoking. Luckily we were home to pull the frog out and unplug it. We smelled the burning. It is a nice, new refrigerator and luckily it still works. The only thing I can guess is the amperage was more than 15 which is the recommend lookout. However, refrigerators don't usually draw that amount of amps.

Bought these to protect individual electronics as a second stage to a whole-home surge suppressor. Installed both on two separate outlets on the same circuit. After a brief power interruption, one reset but the other wouldn't, yellow light was lighted, was constantly clicking and became very hot. Now the safety concern was no longer the electronics, but with this product. Amazon closed the return window in 30 days, and product info said to call the seller or manufacturer for warranty info. Interesting that this is an "Amazon Choice" product, but one of two quickly failed, so why would this be an "Amazon Choice"? UPDATE: I contacted the Seller who was helpful and understanding, and refunded the purchase price for the one that failed. Knowing the Seller stood behind his product made me feel better about this purchase.

Bought these in April to protect new refrigerator. Worked fine until this afternoon. We returned home from running errands and refrigerator was off. The yellow standby light was on. Waited 10 minutes, in never went to green. Unplugged refrigerator and plugged directly into wall. Started right up. Plugged surge into another walk outlet and plugged a table lamp with a 100 watt bulb into it. Again waited over 10 minutes and it never went to green. This is junk. Will be buying a more expensive surge protector for our refrigerator. Don't waste your money

Installed one on freezer and one on refrigerator. They haven't been tested yet but description indicates they will protect the units. Any unit governed by a pc-board needs one of these devices, IMHO. I used to cringe whenever the power would interrupt multiple times. I long for the simplicity of the past, when appliances lasted 20 years or more. UPDATE: power blip this morning -- perfect recovery for both refrigerator and freezer.

The product is defective and didn't work. I am remodeling some areas of my home. My surge protectors are over 10 years old. I did not open products right away so return date expired. When I opened the packages and plugged them in, they didn't work. I tried on other appliances, still no go. I went on line and contacted an Amazon staff via a chat. I explained my situation and we texted back and forth the chat ended abruptly and I couldn't get the person back. End of story. Another useless defective product from Amazon. I do quite a bit of shopping on Amazon and have not had problems like this before. Not a happy shopper at this time.

After returning from a trip, we discovered our refrigerator wasn't operating. After waiting another 45 minutes, with the Protector "safety cycle" light remaining on, the refrigerator was plugged directly into the outlet and began to operate normally. The timing of the device failure resulted in an approximately 10 degree increase above the refrigerator temperature set point. Hopefully the refrigerator contents will not have to be replaced.

had a few brownouts and they worked as expected fridge and freezer were off for about 3 or 4 minutes , a must have if you get lots of broenouts or power failures , todays equipment is sensitive to power fluctuations , have a few appliances that have died in the past . hope these will elp my appliances last , so far they have done their job

Llegó antes de lo esperado. Y en el momento oportuno porque ha estado fallando la energía eléctrica.Proteje mi refrigerador ya que controla totalmente la entrada de energía necesaria.Se va la luz al regresar , tiene un ciclo automático dónde no entra de golpe al aparato.

El dispositivo es útil en lugares donde la corriente electrica no varie tanto... en donde yo vivo varia mucho por el clima tan calido que tenemos, entonces el dispositivo se queda fuera de linea y apaga el refrigerador... tiene que haber un voltaje por parte de la compañía de luz que no sea mayor a 130 volts porque se proteje y no deja pasar corriente.

De los 2 artículos uno me salió defectuoso y todavía tengo que pagar el envío de algo que me salió defectuoso! No es justo
