Surprisingly high quality
These fit in my random thrifted 10-gallon aquarium hood. They are crazy bright. The incandescent bulbs that came with the hood work, but it's a soft yellow light and I don't think many plants would do well under it. I'm sure these LED ones are enough for even my high-light plants. It's probably too much, I like someone else's idea of facing them up towards the casing, since there are reflective metal panels there. And that's one of the neat features.. there's a joint so you can swivel them. [Edit: full tank picture with one bulb facing down, one bulb facing up, and floating plants obscuring some of the light.] And there are aluminum(?) fins all over the back to dissipate heat. Very nice bulbs honestly. I'll update if they fail or something happens though.

Nice brightness!
What illumination! I used it to light up the inside of my ceramic Christmas tree with its clear plastic light bulbs - does a great job!Like that it’s a longer length than regular tubular bulbs, & it’s non-dimmable….has just the right features for the purpose I needed such a bulb for…uses very little energy to power too…my long search for the correct bulb for my little tree has come to a happy ending! :)

Perfect for 10 gallon aquarium; daylight bright
I have a standard, 10 gallon aquarium. Up until recently, I was using fluorescent bulbs in it. But one of them burned out, and I couldn’t find a reasonably priced replacement. I bought a new hood with built-in LED lighting, but the lighting was just too dim. So I took a chance on these LED aquarium lights, and I’m so glad I did. These lights easily screw into the old aquarium light hood. They can be rotated to adjust the direction of lighting for more or less brightness. And, man, these bulbs are daylight bright! They really brighten the aquarium, which will help cut down on brown algae. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about these lights. They are a great replacement for other bulbs, very affordable, and, being LED, should last a very long time.

I'm happy. See picture
First off, it fits and works. Heat: seems to get about as hot as my regular 15W incandescent; so no complaints there. Brightness: it's certainly brighter and whiter than a normal incandescent. I wouldn't mind a few less LEDs, make it a bit dimmer. It almost seems too bright for my taste. It's hard to get a good picture to explain but here's a direct comparison of the two lights. For comparison, when I had the incandescent on the right side, it always looked dim and cloudy (because the plants blocked the light) now it looks very bright and clear. When I put the LED light on the left, it looked super bright.

Beautiful bright aquarium light!
Had a different aquarium hood/light (long tube light) for over 10yrs... bulbs were pricey over $30 then bulbs started to only last for a year .... put my older hood/light on that actually came with the aquarium needed 2 T10 bulbs... bought 2 at Walmart they worked but made water in aquarium look really "yellow/dingy"Took a chance with these... PERFECT! Aquarium looks bright clear lights don't get hot... I will be ordering these as long as I have my aquarium!!Update Feb 2022 these bulbs lasted about 15mths (using about 16hrs a day on my aquarium)

Best Aquarium Bulb
Nice bright bulb for viewing fish and plants. I don't know yet but I hope it will keep the plants green and help them grow. Also hope it will keep down the algae.

The perfect light
Even though it's advertised as a fish tank light, I'm using it in a curio cabinet and I couldn't be more happy. This is a high quality light built strong and well. I will say if you're putting it in a fish tank go with the soft light, I went with the daylight bulb very bright clean white light just what I was looking for. Great company no problems anywhere. Everything was perfect. Thanks so much for the perfect light. Gary
