I have purchased many usbs this year to use to transfer designs from the computer to my sewing machine. I odered two packs of these. Seventeen of the twenty worked fine.For the three that did not function properly, the company has offered to replace them.

All ten of the Flash drives were defective and failed attempts to format (this was the first delivery)UPDATE: I was contacted by the merchant who advised me that they are sorry and that it must of been a bad batch and offered my money back or replacement. I took the replacement and will let you know how these work. Will give 3 stars for customer service12/7/18 I received the replacement USB Flash drives. I tested all of them and they appear to be working great. Excellent customer service!

For the price, these are a great replacement for burning a CD-R or DVD-R to share data, in the situation where you don't want/expect your media back. They are impressively slow, and I have seen several cases of data loss, both in real-world use and in the exaggerated case where I made a raidz2 array out of eight of them (just to see what would happen). That said, if you have a use for them, and use them with your eyes wide open (verifying hashes, using archive formats with CRCs [basically all of them], etc.), they are a decent value. All that, and they come in a number of fun colors.

Bought these after finishing the scanning of 5 thick photo albums worth of mostly normal sized family prints. Copied the digital images and distributed drives to most attendees of a recent family gathering. Not too expensive, and pretty painless for all concerned, except me, though I wouldn't want it any other way.

These are not worth the buy.I was trying to make copies of my parents photo albums and the whole project is only 3 GB but 22k photos and with out fail every time I try to copy over to these they stop and have errors a quarter to half way through and will not allow anything else to happen. They are rated at 32 GB so that shouldn't be a problem. I've tried copying to my external hard drive and it works just fine so I know its the drives. I've gone through all 20 flash drives I ordered and none of them were able to finish.

My application required partitioning them and 3 out of 5 failed. One the ones that failed, I ran disk repair and 1 out of 3 recovered.I did copy some large files onto the drive "out of the box" and that seemed to work OK; it was only I attempted to make a bootable drive with another OS on it, the these problems surfaced.All in all too much hassle and I am returning the lot. I got several "known brands" and they worked fine. It is just not worth the issues to save a few bucks.

Exactly as advertised. Cheap, colorful flash drives. They arrived very quickly.I tested each one and all mounted and transferred files successfully.These will be handy as a cheap way to give family members large batches of photos.Note: I knew full well these are USB 2.0 not 3.0. That means they won't transfer files as quickly. Not a big deal to me.

I purchased these to distribute a lot of data at a recent showing and everything fit and received a really great impression. Purchased several boxes and only a few left with no problems reported at all up to now. So cheap have used several later for other needs in distributing data on a non-returnable basis and really happy with purchase. Will do again if needed.
