I have a hallway that doesn't have enough natural light. On top of that, my family members always forget to turn off the light in the hallway. The switch is located at an awkward position so an occupancy switch doesn't work for me. I'm glad that this light exists to solve my problem. The light sensitivity is adjustable so you can configure the distance that works for you. Since I use this in the hallway, a 4 min timer is more than what I need for the auto-off feature.This is one of those purchase that really made sense for me. It saves me energy and headaches. I don't have to nag anyone about turning off the light. And it is pretty cool to have the light automatically turn on when you are near. This light is an easy way to modernize your home and make it a little bit smarter.

The bad first: the materials are extraordinarily cheap, with the thinnest wires I’ve ever seen, thin weak metal, and poorly molded plastic lens. You would think this would be a negative review, but...The good: the overall product is still excellent. The calibration is perfect, with the smoothest on/off, time and distance settings are spot on, and really good light quality and output in a small room with even light and no flicker. Installation is standard two screws and that’s it. From a distance the fixture looks nice enough.

PROS:* Lightweight base and push-in wire connectors make this very easy to install. The ground wire still requires a traditional wire nut, but since the base is so light, you can let the base hang from the other two connected wires while you fiddle with the ground wire. The base requires just two screws (not included) to attach it to the ceiling junction box. (Of course do all this with the power shut off at the circuit breaker!)* Options are easily set with switches inside the light (before you put the lens on): time delay (5 sec, 45 sec, or 4 min) before shutoff, motion sensitivity (3 distance settings), off mode (either dimmed or completely off), and daylight sensor (on/off).* Lens and lens frame attaches easily to base to complete the installation.* Radar sensor works well for my application (small walk-in closet), set to the minimum sensitivity. No problems with activation through walls, but the adjacent walls have 3/4" drywall with fiberglass insulation, which is a heftier barrier than some houses may have.* Plenty bright application (much brighter than the 9W fluorescent I used to have in the closet)* Color temperature is close to what I wanted -- not stark cold daylight, but a warmer 3000K. (I would have preferred 2700K but couldn't find a similar unit with this color temp.)* InexpensiveCONS:* Lens is plastic, making for a cheap feel.* Radar sensor needs 5 seconds to warm up. If you have the light on a switch, when you turn on the switch, the light goes on for a few seconds, but then shuts off for a few seconds, at which point it can begin detect motion and decide whether to turn on or not. It's kind of annoying when you want to run in and out of the closet quickly. You can of course just leave the switch on all the time, but you'll need to retrain all your family members who use the closet.* Design isn't great. The white metal base is visible when standing about 5 feet (or more) away. A flat lens would have been more modern looking (curved lenses are for accomodating light bulbs, which this doesn't have.) But you're not buying an Apple product. And it's just lighting a closet, anyway.Overall, a good light to use in places where people won't see it, like a closet.

I used this light for my laundry room/garage entrance. It lights when the door is opened. I set it on low detection, so the other side (kitchen) does not trigger the sensor unless I enter the doorway.It will sense motion through the bedroom wall if I walk close to it in the bedroom...that's O.K. with me. It is a very white lite, which is also O.K. for the laundry room...may not be pleasing in a living area.The settings make it very flexible for lighting most areas.

I purchased this light for my garage as most the times my kids forgot to turn off lights. It was really easy to install as I replaced my existing light fixture so used existing screws. I set 45 seconds turn off timer and verified it works well.It’s brightness is perfect and working really fine. I am planning to purchase otherone for my bathroom as well.I will recommend it others if they are looking indoor sensor light.

So far as I can tell, this may have been designed by a hostile alien race intent on inflicting stress in order to test the effects upon humans. There was no setting or combination of settings I could use that would allow this item to function as advertised. If and when it turned on, it was only after I'd opened the first door, walked across the 7' room and pulled the second door shut behind me. I can only conclude that the motion sensor is sensing something other than human movement (or the motion of a door being pulled open). Standing directly below the device and waving my arms like a bird trying to take flight only seemed to amuse it. I requested a replacement and thought the problem was solved, sadly, I was only captured in the trap designed to make me believe there was actually a way to make this work. After a few days and several more bird-miming episodes, I gave up. If interested, I can confirm that the device seems to work nearly flawlessly after you have finished your task in the room and are leaving. The light seems to illuminate the doors nicely, but only as one is being pulled shut behind you. Touche, alien race, you have won this round!

This unit is amazing! I installed the unit in our outside entryway above our door. It even catches motion from the inside the house! Works perfectly and I also bought one for my in-laws....they love the unit as well!!

Great light used in on front porch, but... it died after 6 months. Will not buy again as too expensive for how long it lasted.
