I actually got this for some long-handled cooking utensils. Its a good stiff fabric and it has a nice, traditional field and its easy to use.

Very simply done but well made waxed canvas bag for your saws and such! Some other reviews stated "flimsy" canvas which it was not. A good medium weight canvas that is plenty tough. If you're tearing this thing up in under a year I think you're using your gear bags wrong! The stitching looks great.It's new waxed canvas so it will have an initial waxy residue about it but nothing that will bring any harm to gear inside or outside of it. Pleasant new canvas odor. As you can see, it has PLENTY of room to fit both my Silky BigBoy2000 saw and Boreal 21 saw with extra blades. The extra length looks like it could also fit a Boreal 24.If it was 2 inches wider, I could even fit my Gransfors Bruks Scandinavian Forest Axe inside of it! Makes me wonder if a GB Small Forest Axe could squeeze into this. Smaller hatchets can for sure. Great bag and more than happy with it. Made in Kentucky, son!

I bought the Bucksaw Bag specifically to store a large Japanese pull-saw with a very sharp double-edge blade. Works perfectly. I stand the Bucksaw Bag in a tool bucket alongside garden tools, where it stands out. Besides protecting the saw blade and myself from being cut, I like that the Bucksaw Bag stands out visually from the other tools. So, easy to grab the pull-saw when I need it.

3 stars because 5 starts is perfect. Size was spot on for my Agawa Boreal 24 (in fact 2 of these saws would fit in this bag. Sewn together well. I like the internal seams. The snap to shut the bag is simple. For the money I think the closure could be better engineered (even a sewn on tie off line vs snap). Finally anything that goes into this bag will get a waxy coating on it that I would assume diminishes with time but until that time comes I'll be wrapping my saw in another piece of denim before putting it into this bag.

Well built like I have come to expect from Campcraft. Ordered this to carry a Swiss military pick axe, perfect fit.

The sleeve should work well for its intended purpose of protecting field research equipment.
