Hawaiian Silky no base relaxer, regular, White, 20 Ounce

Being a former hairstylist, and using many relaxers since I was 15, now In my 70's , and still at it. I have short bleached hair, since I don't want grey, makes my hair manageable, and classy. Forget the grey, and dyed black, and brown look past 40. Blondes have more fun, and are recognized. Beside the fact, why would you need to look like everyone else. I do not section my hair off. Just comb it through, and timed for 5 min. only, because of the bleach. This relaxer turned my hair a dark gold. Had to use violet shampoo, let it stay in my hair for 15 minutes. Done with the hair dryer now. It is mold, and go with gels. I do use protein conditioner. If you want a gentle straightener, use the Brazilian. Just comb through, and time for 10 min., unless your hair is thin. When my hair was long, I never sectioned off. Just combed product from scalp to about 4". Your hair is stronger in this area. Always start a new product with less time than noted. Violet shampoo will counteract brassiness.

Softens texture just enough and my hair was not bone straight . I gave body and made my hair more manageable. I love that it is not harsh and didn’t burn my scalp. I have 3c mixed race hair, porous. I followed the instructions using the regular for fine hair, 15 minutes. I could get away with the mild strength. Don’t forget to buy the neutralizer shampoo! Great product.

Works well

Lovely smell. Was not so good for virgin hair, but the 2nd time used, it did its job perfectly. I followed the instructions exactly the first time, and my hair was still under-processed. So a few weeks later, I did it again, with better results the m3xt time around. Remember this is not a kit, so you need to buy your shampoo and conditioner, gloves separately. This comes with just the relaxer.

The "regular" strength was too strong and burned my scalp

This was my first purchase and use of Hawaiian Silky. Babbbyyyyyyy, amazing and my hair has never been so soft and MANAGEABLE! I’ve worn wigs and braids for the past year and finally discovered that my hair is not as damaged as I thought and this perm, babbbyyyyyy! Left it in no more than 10 minutes. The top center of my head I could have left in longer but other areas I permed first were tingling and I didn’t want any scalp burns. I used a flat iron afterwards and the areas that needed more time, were fine! I HIGHLY recommend this product and again, it made my hair so manageable!
