Bottom line: If you battle with tinea versicolor, give this a whirl. I have had to deal with it for 20 years and this was the fastest topical treatment and more effective than other "prescription strength" topical solutions. The only thing as quick as this was the oral medication, but that is hard on the liver. More detail: I have only used this for treatment on my arms so far. I used this in conjunction with the Terrasil Tinea soap. My method: Shower in the morning, allowing the soap suds stay on the skin for several minutes before rinsing. After fully dried, I applied a thin layer of this ointment. In the evening, I washed with the soap and again allowing the suds to sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Again, after fully dried apply a thin layer of ointment. Right before going to bed, I would blot the remaining oil to prevent it from staining bedding. I do recall reading at least one other reviewer that stated this caused their tinea versicolor to spread. I can tell you that I initially thought this was happening to me, but I continued using and it all went away. At least in my case, I believe the "spreading" was only some tinea versicolor that wasn't initially as visible to become visible while it was getting treated. Pros: Quick - got rid of the Tinea Versicolor in just under a week. No walking around smelling like sulfur as with some topical treatments. Not a prescription so easy to get. Cons: The ointment will stain some fabrics which is why I haven't tried it in other areas. The treated area will turn "brown" when exposed to the sun. The color will go away. Questions for the Manufacturer: Instructions/answers could be clearer. Because of the oiliness and the staining, can this product be as effective if it were blotted dry after a period of time? Such as 'apply a thin layer and can be blotted dry after an hour'. Just an example if you know how long it needs to be in place to be effective. Is the oil portion of this essential to the effectiveness? It would be great if you had a cream or something that could just be rubbed in and not worry about an oil that stains fabric or rubs off on whatever is touched.

I’ve had severe tinea versicolor over most of my body for about 2 years. I figured I would try this product before going to a doctor as a last resort. It started working after just ONE treatment! Applied a thin layer to every area before bed and the next day it had made a noticeable difference. I’m so thrilled that my skin is almost clear. There’s no bad smell and the cream feels so hydrating and non greasy. It’s 100% worth the money.

First of all, since this wasn't mentioned anywhere else, THIS IS SAFE TO USE DURING PREGNANCY. The only active ingredient it 1% Clortrimazole which is the anti-fungal. They have dates on them as well. THINGS I HAVE ALREADY TRIED: I have taken Fluconazole, Selenium Sulfide (a topical, can be found in dandruff shampoos), and Diflucan. Let alone, the second day it seemed to have cured the discoloration about 50% down from the original state. USE: I used this mostly at night. The first week or two I put it on my tinea spots using a small amount (probably smaller than a dime size, a little goes a long way)in the morning after a shower, and at night after a shower. I noticed a HUGE difference within days. After those first two weeks, I probably put it on every other night as it was noticeably receding. After almost a month, I have completely been blown away this product. I cannot believe I have found something that works so well with such quick turnaround! I am writing this to help out my fellow Tinea buddies. Please try this product! It will not fail you. Worth the money and bring your confidence up again! I also love that a little goes a long way, I still have probably a little more than half of my bottle leftover.

If you have Tinea Versicolor you should 100% get this product. I have been dealing with it sense I was 10 years old, I am now 20 and have been looking for something to get rid of it for years. I went to the doctor when I first got it and they did give me a antifungle cream but it took months to go away and when it came back it was much worse. Sense then I have been looking for an over the counter more natural medicine to use. I have tried so many different products that did absolutely nothing for it. I have very very sensitive skin and this is working great so far. My whole torso has been absolutely covered in Tinea Versicolor for about 4 years now, I used this product for the first time about a week and a half ago and within 2 days I could tell a huge color difference. After 3 uses the stinging feeling that it produces when I sweat has pretty much completely gone away. I was very skeptical of this product at first just because I have tried so many things that have done absolutely nothing but it actually works! Obviously when using it for the first time you should test it out on the back of your hand just to make sure you don’t have an allergic reaction because everyone is different but as I said I have super sensitive skin and it is doing great with this product. I know there are tons of great reviews of this product for this specific skin condition but I just felt the need to add one of my own because of how well it is improving. I am overly excited to be able to wear what I want and finally be able to go public swimming comfortably for the first time in years. I am so grateful that I found this product and I hope that it continues to help people with this skin condition. I know it’s very far from the worst thing to deal with but it can completely demolish your confidence and I am so happy to finally start getting mine back!!

A little goes a long way. Worked as advertised. In my case did not dry skin - used for 1 week twice daily, and a second week once daily. Used Terrasil soap alongside this treatment, and after for maintenance. Skin looked clear after a few days, followed my doc’s recommendation to continue use for 14 days. Excess product washed out of clothing/bedding. I’ve used this product a few times. The smell isn’t great, definitely a medicine smell, and I understand this is part of the fact the product can’t contain things that would activate yeast.

I’ve been using this for the past week and it has not worked. Definitely not worth the money given it hasn’t worked for me and also the size. It is moisturizing but also feels a bit greasy.

I have tinea versicolor on my arms. So annoying. But I can't tell if this is working. To be fair, its winter and my white tinea spots aren't getting any sun so I can't tell if they're disappearing. They're definitely still there. But also, I'm getting eczema patches on my arms now? Does anyone else experience this? Maybe I need time and another tube. Will review after consistent through the summer. If the spots fade, then I know it's working. But what about the eczema patches? Jeez

product is overpriced. It is not "6X as fast". I bought this item in December. In February, there are still no results. Just not worth it.
