Caron Simply Soft Paints Yarn, 4 Ounces/200 Yards, Spring Brook, Single Ball

Purchased this yarn to crochet on clothes hangers.... it is a VERY small skein.. 4 oz is a the SMALL skein. I haven't begun my project yet, but I have been making this hangers for years... it should work nicely. It is soft and smooth. If you were using for a clothing item it would be delightfully soft. The colors are well represented in pics which is nice. Just be sure to read your pattern so you purchase enough to complete. I estimate I will be able to get 6-8 large hangers with this skein...We'll see.Further, I did NOT receive compensation of ANY kind for my review. I am a cancer survivor and I make Prayer Shawls to donate to cancer patients. This is the perfect yarn for these projects. It is the softest yarn I have worked with, has a good selection of colors and is very reasonably priced. I only use yarn that is machine washable and dryable for my projects and this yarn is on the top of my list. I would HIGHLY recommend it!

Caron Simply Soft is a VERY nice yarn to work with. Soft and very easy when it comes to handling. And the color that I chose for my granddaughters afghan are so much prettier in person! If you want a soft, pretty and warm afghan, then you must use Caron Simply Soft.

For an acrylic, I love this yarn. I prefer natural yarns most times, but sometimes an acrylic is required. The colorways are gorgeous - very vibrant. I have the Oceana and wish it is lovely. It knits nicely. I have frogged large sections and the yarn can withstand it without getting pilly or fuzzy. I am using it right now trying to choose between three patterns and have tested each pattern and ripped it out - after four times, I am just starting to see a bit of fuzz.It will split a bit, but not badly. It is quite soft and easy on the hands to work with. Because it is soft, it doesn't hold shape all that well.

This is one of my favorite yarns. The colors are so beautiful that I can't make my fingerless gloves and slippers fast enough. Everyone wants this color! Simply Soft Paints yarns are so soft and silky feeling that they are a joy to knit with and 'Rose Garden' with its beautiful pastels makes every project a work of art in itself.

True to the color you see online! Using it to crochet my teen daughter a blanket along with some solid aqua and black yarns. Looks like stained glass! Haven't had any issues with it and am pleased that I bought it. It has a silky feel to it but not slippery.

As a consummate prankster, I thoroughly enjoyed this product. If you want to really annoy someone, buy several skeins of Simply Soft Paints Yarn and do the following:While your roommate is away, tie the end of the yarn to something--anything--that's far away from the door from which you'll be leaving the place, then proceed to unroll the skein and wind it throughout the place, keeping it taut between each item. Go under, through, over, and around anything and everything as you go. When you reach the end of the skein, tie it to the next one and keep going. Slowly work your way towards the exit as you create a web that completely fills the place. Lamps, ceiling fans, wall-hangings, trinkets on the shelves ... you name it, it gets entwined! By the way, if you have any breakables of your own, put them away in drawers. You don't want your roomie to have the satisfaction of damaging YOUR stuff whilst unraveling the mess you've made.Bonus: If there's a land line telephone in the place, be sure to call it several times during their adventure. It adds to the excitment.

This yarn crochets up beautifully! It's so soft , easy to work with and the final results are beautiful. The color combo in it makes a lovely hat & scarf set and I'm now working on a mermaid tail blanket for my granddaughter, colors are prefect!

Small yarn, but nice combination of colors

My mum has been using it a lot and raves about it, so I thought I would give it a try. It is beautifully soft and doesn't feel like an acrylic yarn it has a cottony feel to it that I love. I will definitely be buying this yarn again
