Lots of information.
Lots of info and photos. Good book

if I were someone that knew something about the materials used within this would have been a good addition to the project. Not knowing anything about cement, bricks, or the other materials used on this project, this book was a waste of money. The title does not fit the contents.

the book will not turn pages
It worked fine fine for a bit then froze on on a random page tapped the turn 10-15 times nothing, drug the page 10-15 times nothing then it change the page. fine for 10 pages or so then same would not change page. Got to page 60 still doing the same thing. Something is wrong in the formating or something.

Not very useful
The pictures were nice, and it was plainly written. That said, it doesn't include actual plans or diagrams. Nobody was following any safety protocols. It looked like a high school report on how somebody built an oven for cheap. If I pay for a book, I expect more than this. It should provide well laid out plans, proper material lists, a variety of layouts or an explanation as to why this is the best oven design (hint, it's not the most efficient), and etc. All in all, I won't use this to build a backyard oven. I wish I hadn't bought it. Two stars because at least it meets the technical requirements of a book that shows how to build a backyard brick oven.

Save your time and money, it's just a good story for a bad blog.
The author maybe had a good intention, but the rest everything is bad, from pictures (except for the cover obviously) to the text. The engineer is her husband so, how she can say bad things. The final product I, without know it in person can tell is great, but can't call this book a "HOW TO BUILD" but "HOW I BUILT MY ...".

don't bother!!
God what a waste of money. Cheap though at least. Greg sounds like a tossa. The narration & photos are poor. I can only assume good old Greg was showing off in front of the gushing Laura when he built pile foundations & something the weight of a nuclear bunker? Don't get bitten by a rattle snake you two! :)
