NECAD&D Nolzurs Marvelous Unpainted Miniatures: Wave 5: Aasimar Male Paladin

Cons:Is your eye perhaps drawn to something here?Yeah mine too.It might seem innocuous at first, but these spots are infact WITHIN the plastic itself, which is supposed to be incorporeal on a protector aasimar, hence why it's clear in the first place (#1 reason I bought this one), thus painting them would be a tragedy.Why is it even there? I assume some genius ate some toast over the molding at the time of conception, uh, molding? I'll never know.I just wish quality control was better, I mean it says Wizards of the Coast on the box. I expected better.Oh well, I've never painted a mini before so I'll just take this as a low pressure first attempt, since he's got lil turds in his wings any way.Pros:1) the price is great. Its not really worth the effort of returning.2) the pose is pretty cool and lifelike, good expression on their little faces.3) the other guy without the wings is flawless but honestly who cares

This was perfect for my Aasimar Paladin - I went with the one without the wings since mine has taken Oath of Vengeance. There's a lot of tiny detail, including creases that indicate experience (and a lot of battles) which can really be taken advantage of in painting. I'm a horrible painter (this is only the second miniature that I've tried), but I loved how it took the paint and gave it more character.

The sword is very bent on the bottom mini, otherwise it looks pretty good.Edit: After reading more about minis, things being distorted is relatively common. Still seems like QC would catch these.
