Best blades around
After using many different blades, the build quality on this is lightyears better. Nice and light weight, easy to cut in delicate areas, blades are super sharp, great value for money for what you get.

If you're thinking of buying it just do it.
Genuinely an excellent snap knife, its shocking to me how cheap this is, its barely 50% more than a garbage budget own brand model. This knife has 2 minor downsides, the blades are significantly more expensive than inferior models, although they are 30° not 45 (like most) and very sharp, at 10 individual blades for the pack that's sold separately though around the same price as the knife its still a reasonable price to pay.Second like pretty much all snap knives the blades are tricky to snap without using 2 pairs of pliers. I ruined 2 of the blade portions trying to snap it without pliers and ended up with like a ragged box at the end of the blade.Hold a pair of pliers behind the portion you want to snap, use another pair to bend that section and its quick and easy. I believe they sell a snap tool, if you're not comfortable doing the above that may be worth a look. The knife cut 0.6mm burl veneer with ease, absolutely no tear out. And that's a lot more difficult than it sounds, the few times I've needed to cut leather or cloth it's been effortless. It's also proved to be very good at marking dovetails, particularly the inside corners, which are a pain.If you're thinking if buying it just do, if you're not sure buy the refill pack once you are.

This knife is sharp.
These blades are sharp. To say scalpel sharp would be more to the point, (no pun intended), enough to shave the the hair off the back of your hand. At first the handle looked a bit fragile compared to a knife I had used before, but it is quite robust. I haven't used it fully yet, but I have tested it on paper and Balsa wood, with no problem at all. I work with wood called Jelutong and it seems it would be perfect to do some fine carving on it. I wouldn't use it for moderate or heavy carving though, as I don't think the blades would be strong enough. But for the work it is intended for I'm sure no one will have a problem with it.It has a clip on it like a pen so you can keep it handy in a chest pocket. One of the best things about this knife, is that it is actually made in Japan. Not in the usual country. I'm sure anyone who wants light, very sharp knife for it's intended purpose will be very pleased with this one. At a decent price as well.

Excellent addition to a crafter's toolbox
For an avid crafter and regular Amazon user, it's really essential to own some sort of craft knife, for making stuff and for opening packages easily. The Olfa craft knife is a nice, lightweight blade, complete with clip to store or carry easily. With snap-off blades, the longevity is substantial and ensures you'll always have a sharp blade available to hand and prevent the use of blunt blades to rip or tear your card. I often used an old Stanley knife prior to buying this, as I'd owned it for close to 20 years and was rather attached to it. As it was quite chunky, this affected how it could be used - it was quite cumbersome - and to replace a blade meant to unscrew the metal components and clip in a new one. Not exactly as quick as using a graphics knife like this. There is definitely a benefit to the slim, lightweight build - easier to hold and manipulate - more comfortable. I also like the tight spring mechanism which moves the blade up smoothly but also ensures it holds in place during use. I am old school and don't rely on die cutters for my crafting work - I like to cut out intricate shapes by hand, and this is the tool with which to do that.

30o point makes it much easier to cut out sharp corners
I bought this as I can't find my CK snap-off knife and needed to cut out some doll clothing patters. This seems to be even sharper than the Stanley blades i was previously using. The Stanley blades would sometimes drag the paper when starting the initial cut, but these blades just slice into it with no dragging. The narrower tip is really handy when you need to change angle as you can turn the paper while keeping the tip in the cut and it wont cause a crease like the 45o blades do.The knife isn't the comfiest to hold unfortunately as its kinda square and the ends are not rounded over. The belt clip also digs into my hand, so I have to remove it. Its not too bad if i hold it nearer the blade. Overall though its just a small niggle that i'm sure i'll get used to. It works great and feels like its built to last, so i'm happy with it.
