My battery stopped working all together 2 weeks outside of the one year warranty. Will you guys still honor the warranty?

Don't know if you already tried to reset the Boze speaker, if not, try that first. Look up on the Web, "how to reset Boze speaker (model)." My original battery lasted many years and the current battery is still going strong after 2 or 3 years. Sometimes the low-charge light comes on and a few times the speaker turned itself off, requiring me to turn back on. Off hand, I forget how to reset, but the simple instruction is on the Web. Try to reset before changing battery.

does this require soldering?

Soldering is not required. Super simple to install.

Can you charge from a 12v usb ?

I dont know the answer to the USB but from the wall my battery didnt hold charge past the first week unfortunately, i really wanted my Bose to work again
