Good beans but I prefer to pay less for my beans
They are just beans but they taste good. Haven’t found any rocks so far so that’s good. We used them to make chili and also had plain. I like them, just wish they could be cheaper because they’re just beans.

The smell 🤢
The only real complaint I have now is the smell. These smell like straight stinky butt. I pray it doesn’t change the smell of my lady bits.

One of the most affordable options for bulk dried beans. Good quality control.
This arrived very quickly. It is secure and well packaged. This was one of the least expensive options for bulk dried beans that I could find anywhere online. The shipping is what makes them so expensive. I believe a 25lb bag of beans normally sells for around 25-30 dollars, but the shipping brings it to around 45 to 50 dollars - that is to be expected when ordering a heavy product, so I can't complain. I haven't eaten or opened the beans because I purchased them for my emergency preparedness kit; however, I suspect they will be delicious because they come from a well known food producer. Thank you for the quality goods and fast delivery.

I know beans are fresh!!!
Great quality black beans. Trying to eat healthier so I bought big bag. I know it is fresh, because when I put one in my garden ( just for kicks and giggles ), it sprouted within two rainy days!!! Will be buying again.

Delicious!
Soaking your own beans and cooking them up yourself is not only quite easy, but it tastes far better than any canned beans (and healthier!). 25 lbs. may seem like a lot, but with these beans I can see myself ordering more before the years up.

Beautiful and Flavorful
I have cooked dried beans for years, and there’s really not much you can say about them. I mean, a bean is a bean, and if you buy black beans, well, let’s just say they taste like black beans. So, why would I go to the trouble to tell you that …wait for it …these will taste like black beans?Store bought dry black beans will have a dull, matte, almost dusty gray-like surface. As I have previously mentioned, they taste like black beans, too. Then came the COVID supply chain disruptions and grocery store scarcities. So, I began looking online. The D’allesandro brand beans are dry, too, but their surface is a shinier blacker surface, like beans that haven’t been sitting in a grain elevator for two years or whatever. To my palate, they taste - yep, you guessed it, like black beans - but they also taste fresher, like maybe there were only weeks instead of months (years?) from the time the bean was picked to the time you opened the bag. That’s a totally subjective review on my part. I know nothing about how these are grown, picked, stored, or packaged. That said, my eyes and tastebuds tell me I’m getting something much fresher.I’ll be back, when this bag runs out.************ UPDATE 1-June-2024 **********************I’m changing my rating from 5 to 3.The original rating for D’allesandro black beans still stands. However, what I got on my last shipment was not D’allesandro but a brand called Aiva out of Houston, Texas. While they are still black beans, they are not the shiny black that the D’allesandro bean had. Instead, they have a more dull and grayish look —i.e. the kind of appearance you might expect from a store branded product. The taste evaluation will need to wait until I finish the last of the D’allesandro beans. So, the rating change is really for first impressions on lower quality appearance as well as the gall to ship me something other than advertised. Unfortunately, I already opened one of the 5lb bags (yeah, that’s how it shipped: 5 x 5 lb bags of a different brand, not 1 x 25 lb bag). D’allesandro are certified Kosher and non-GMO. These say zip about how they were made. Moral of the story? I guess it’s a roll of the dice on what you’ll receive from this seller. …very disappointed.
