Honeywell Ceiling Fans Kaliza Modern 56 Inch Ceiling Fan with Light, Remote Control Fan, LED Indoor Fan with 6 Blades, Gray Oak and Light Oak Blade Finish Options, Bronze (51036-01)

I was debating for two weeks which fan to get for my Mancave, and I kept coming back to this one. I wanted a ceiling hugger, and while this one CAN be hooked up as a ceiling hugger, it only brings the blades about 5.5 inches from the ceiling; blades for airflow need to be a minimum of 8. So, I used the downrod as instructed.I love the modern design of this fan. I did not want the globed or sconced fans ingrew up with. This is my man cave! I needed a cool modern fan! This one fit the bill.It's definitely well built and sturdy. It came with weights for the blades, but it's well enough built and sturdy enough to not need them, at least for my ceiling.Installation was not difficult, especially if one has installed fans before, but still easy enough if one hasn't. I never installed a fan that works strictly with a remote before, so that gave me pause for a second, as it has a receiver that you have to attach.The LED'S are bright on their brightest settings (they do dim, but you have to hold the button down and wait to get to where you want it), the one thing I don't like about this glass does not diffuse the light out, but more straight down. It is not a huge deal as I don't have lighting issues in the room.Overall, I am very excited about the fan. It moves a lot of air, even on the lowest setting! But that's what you get with a 56"'er!

Gorgeous ceiling fan! The assembly was a breeze and installation was the same as any other fan that I have installed. The only downside of this light is the brightness. It definitely doesn't light up the room, and luckily it's in a room that is open concept, and I don't rely solely on this to light the room. Would I buy this item again? That would depend on where I was putting it. If I need a lot of light in that room then no, but if brightness of the light doesn't concern me as much than yes. The fan itself works great, and I have had no problems with the remote as others have mentioned.

I had an electrician install the fan since I had no electrical in my living room ceiling. Remote works great on all 3 speeds. Looks beautiful!!!

Installing these (I ordered two) required know-how and patience. The second went easier than the first. The machining of some of the hardware had enough imperfections to elicit some swearing but after it all came together I'm quite happy. They look great, are quiet, very stable, generates good air flow,and the light is good (although I wish it was a warmer hue). Overall good product for the price.

Just installed it today and it was easy for our first time ever installing a fan. I love that the fan blades are 2 different colors. It is quiet. I do wish the light was a bit brighter but I can change the light bulb. It is modern and stylish and has the flexibility to match well with whatever your style is. So far I am happy and if anything changes in the next few months I will update my review.

I'll be honest I bought it only because it was on sale but the slick slim design is very clean. This thing moves some serious air will rapidly cool down any room it is in on max. The light is insanely BRIGHT I can't have it on max light at all the Remote allows you to dim it 10 out of 10 I highly recommend. Even with extremely thorough instructions it is a little difficult to install but worth the challenge or money and will blow you away once installed correctly.

Update: not even a year old and it stopped working. Never buying Honeywell again. It used to be a good brand.*****This is noisy. Sometimes the light doesn’t work. The air it pushes is only slightly better than the 10 y/o broken fan it replaces. And I possibly had an incompetent installer but he said I couldn’t have this work from different wall switches while the previous one was fine. I expect to toss this in the trash within 5 years.

The fan itself is easy to install, the directions use descriptive directions and refer to images below the text. Most of it was intuitive. It was odd just leaving the little plastic console just floating at the top in the bracket. The remote will need a guide with it as the buttons aren't too obvious. Some require you to hold a button for the action but you wouldn't know that if just looking at the remote itself. I do like the look and it's not too modern nor contemporary.
