Q: I was told to get a rebuild kit for my Model 600. Is this the same thing?

I order the Aprilaire kit for the model 600. It includes everything you would need to maintain the 600. I had not done anything to mine in about 10 years except change the filter. It took me about a half hour to do everything. If you clean up some of the original parts you can use them for a spare. I think it's a nice kit.

Q: The water supply strainer that came with my kit (black plastic) is too long to fit into the solenoid water valve inlet. Wrong Part or what?

It fit into my factory water valve inlet port taper part in first, make sure that pieces of the old strainer are not stuck in your valve.

Q: The unit that I am replacing has 2 round cups at the bottom of the filter holder. Buy replacement maint kit doesn’t include this part. Will it work?

The maintenance kit you are buying does not have round cups on the bottom. If you are using this maintenance kit in another type of unit..I don't know. I have the model 600 and there are no round cups on the bottom. If the water can drain through the bottom then it should work
