Worked great
Had no issues. Well constructed

Excellent option for custom builds/upgrades.
Had to replace OEM power supply on a mission critical machine. Client still uses the optical drive, and since it is a laptop form factor dvd drive in a desktop, standard SATA power cables weren't an option. Worked perfectly, though I did need to also replace the SATA data cable as it was now way too long and close to the front fan. In my case replacing the stock 18" data cable with a 12" one was enough.

As described
Worked perfectly for connecting an optical drive (pulled from a laptop) to my external HDD dock for use over USB with my mini-pc.

Worked well
It's a bit expensive, and I wish it was a bit longer. I had to remove a drive to get it to reach the optical drive, so this is not a permanent solution. I'll have to figure something else out.Otherwise it fit the components as expected and the quality seemed good!

Perfect fit. Works just like it should. Good Quality.
Exactly what I needed to connect a slimline DVD burner from a Lenovo laptop into a micro desktop PC. Ends and connector pins all look to be good quality and the cables are heavy duty enough for use inside a desktop. The DVD end (small end) fit the DVD player perfectly and the large end was the same as you would expect to find on a Sata HDD so standard motherboard Sata cable and sata power cables clipped right in place. Be sure to check the DVD player's connection port on the back before ordering a sata to sata cable because there are 3 different configurations I have found among laptop slimline DVD players. This inexpensive converter cable saved me about $40 over having to buy a new slimline DVD burner with standard desktop PC sata connections on the back.

If you build something?
If you like to modify cases like I do to accept an internal DVD or Blue ray drive out of a notebook than you need this!

Works great, good price
I got this to install a slim optical drive in my HTPC. It lets me use standard SATA/power cables. With this adapter, I was able to install the optical drive and a card reader/USB hub in the case's 5.25" slot using a combo mounting kit. The adapter pigtail is well made and reasonably priced. If you have a small case you might want to use a more compact version, but for my case this was perfect.Note: check before you buy that this will work with your optical drive. Compare the photos on the product page to your optical drive's connector. Some manufacturers use proprietary connectors and this one is designed for standard SATA type connectors.
