620808 Gable Vent, 10-Inch X 10 7/8-Inch

I used these on an outdoor shed to allow for some air movement in the summer. They worked perfectly. Easy to install and look good. Hopefully they endure a harsh winter.

This is a sturdy vent that I used for exterior cold air intakes for my furnace. The vent themselves have small vertical plastic slits that will keep the mice out. My prior vents had too large of openings that did not work well. As another reviewer said, there is a square rim on the back that the pictures did not show. I used a small saw to remove the rim for my application since the vent needed to sit flat against brick.

I have a 16x8 roughshod, I put 4 of these in. Since the design will not allow for center installation, referring to the shed, side by side worked well. I thought they were overpriced. Installation is easy enough if you are handy and can read a tape measure and make a straight line to follow. I got way more ventilation with these for sure. I recently also installed a solar powered 8" exgaust fan and this has really cooled off the shed and the higher areas for sure. Good product overall.

The vents aren’t hooded/ shrouded adequately- I live in Arizona - we rarely get rain, but when we do it’s intense. Rain came right in.

Worked out perfectly for the new garden shed I built. Durable plastic, that will never rust, never need paint, and should easily outlast the shed's wooden materials. An extra bonus was the fact that the vents had anti-bug louvers to prevent the entry of unwanted pests.The actual rear flanged extension was not exactly 8" x 8" however. It was more like 8" high x 8-1/2" wide, so the rough opening that was required was closer to 8-1/4" by 9-1/4", but it created no problem for me as I always check needed hole sizes twice prior to cutting.Easy to directly install square drive screws in the corners without pre-drilling tooThe quality, price and overall value can't be beat.
