Helped to relieve my neck pain but softer than I expected. Premium quality???....Time will tell.
The media could not be loaded. I've been plagued with neck pain for a few months and my physio suggested i change my pillow. I had been using a memory foam pillow but I've been using these silent night pillows for a week now, and while the pain hasn't gone completely it is much improved which I'm grateful for.Being labelled as firm support pillows, I have to admit that when I took them out the packet they were not as firm as I was expecting. In fact they feel quite soft and my head sunk into the pillow although weirdly the pillow did still feel supportive thanks to the fibre core in the centre. I'm also getting a better night's sleep which is a bonus. To give you some idea of the firmness, according to the packaging, Silentnight rate their pillows from soft to firm on a scale of 1-10 with their firm pillows being rated from 7-10. These pillows are rated a 7 so are at the lowest end of their firmness rating so if you're looking for very firm pillows you may be better looking at ones with a higher rating. The product listing states that these are premium quality pillows and I would expect nothing less from such a well known brand. However there are some loose/excess threads on a couple of the corners on one pillow which make me wonder if these will end up needing to be replaced sooner than I'd hoped. I'll update when I've had them for a while.Overall, after using them for a week, I've found them to be just fine for me, and I'm very happy that my chronic neck pain has improved, that's a huge bonus. Hubby is happy with his pillow too.

They are nice, not too firm.
Nice pillows.

Silent night pillows.
Very good for side sleepers. I find I only need one, rather than the two pillows I used previously. Firm but not hard. They do flatten after a couple of nights, but fluff right up again easily. My neck and shoulders ache much less now.

Great for a few months, then rapidly go flat.
Short life span. Okay, I'm turning into Victoria Meldrew. I admit it. I'm sure that I'm not imagining the firm feather pillows that lasted an adult lifetime of my childhood, nor that somehow the same modern synthetic pillow lasting me from 5 until uni being in pretty good nick still when in was unceremoniously abandoned, yet 'tinternet would have you believe that your head will rot if you don't replace your pillows every 12-18 months. The cynic in me thinks that modern pillows are carefully designed to self-destruct in order to ensure that you part with more money and landfill rises that little bit more (no the cat protection league didn't want them). All this to say that these pillows won't last you long.I purchased two in early 2021. Like many who ordered around that time the pillows had some faults. Neither was fully sewn up and one had a slash across the front where it must've caught on something sharp. There were a few smudges here and there. Now, I'm a practical sort and don't actually enjoy complaining as much as my reviews would have you think. The smut was superficial and the cut fresh and not jagged. I mended the pillows and gave them a wash. I shouldn't have had to, but it was more satisfying than sending them back to realistically be landfilled. This done they went into quilted pillow protectors and were jolly nice pillows - for a while. The first thing you should know is that they're constructed of three layers; two outer layers of normal pillow "fluff" and a core of thick foam slab. It may feel a little weird to handle but also makes them ideal for side sleepers like me. They would flatten a bit overnight but would plump up beautifully again and be quite comfortable to use sitting up for reading in bed. And then one day they didn't plump anymore. The decline was very rapid which makes me cynical about inbuilt failure. Now at just shy of two years old you'd need to stack at least three together to comfortably side sleep. I don't consider this good money for value, or more to the point, I don't consider this a good use of the planet's resources and I really resent being charged with responsible disposal which is pretty much impossible when you start digging to find out how much doesn't get "recycled." New pillows every 18 months? No way! I don't want to play this game. I have now purchased goose feather pillows with sturdy cotton outers. Even if they don't last decades at least they're fully compostable....

Had these on the bed for a few weeks now...
..and still haven't made my mind up. I had to replace my feather pillows for medical reasons, and so tried these. They have a core within the filling which just feels strange when I lay against them in bed when I'm reading. I use these with a padded waterproof protector and then a pillowcase, so there is a lot of slippage going on. They seem quite flat when I sleep on them but they do give adequate support, and don't swallow your head like my feather pillows did, which is probably a good thing. They are also a bit weird to 'plump up' in the morning. They're certainly good enough to keep for now but I'd probably look for something different next time.
