Great price and quality
Fits perfect! For all the reviews that said it didn’t fit, odds are they don’t wrench on their vehicle often

Mixed return on investment.
After lots of reviewing of various 3rd Gen Tacoma forums, there was no constant "yes" or "no" to the benefit of installing any CAI, let alone the Rough Country. I was looking for a bump in HP and Torque for towing. From what I learned there's really not a ton of difference between the CAIs. There are plenty who will say "brand X is better/worse" etc but when you get down to what they "offer" in performance, the numbers are really nominal. So, for the money, this was a good value. The parts are good quality, and really the installation is pretty easy, and straight forward. Takes maybe 30-45minutes, and when you finish it looks cool. So how does it perform? This CAI did (for me) give a noticeable pep in throttle response. It definitely climbed the tachometer more quickly. And it howls like a pack of wolves. This is LOUD! So, did it help in towing? Nah...not that I noticed. Towing 4500lbs in Texas Hill Country, I didn't notice any change over the stock air box. Which is a shame, but it is what it is. If you're looking for a better throttle response, this provided that for me. If you're looking for better towing power, I don't think this is the modification to make.

Good for what it is!
If you are looking to get a huge increase in performance, this is not it, but it does sound pretty cool. I would definitely recommend getting the cover as a secondary filter.

More Torque for sure.
Well made easy install

Increased sound and more HP
This kit was super easy to install. It took me about an hour to remove the existing air box and install the new cold air intake. It looks really clean under the hood of my truck and sounds awesome! When I step on the gas pedal, there is a super loud and deep hum from under the hood. I have only had it on my 2022 Tacoma for about 2 months now, and have increased my average fuel mileage by just short of 2 MPG. Super happy with this as it is far cheaper and as good of quality as other name brand cold air intakes. I have used numerous Rough Country products and they are always great and affordable!

Dollar Menu Product
There’s always a risk when you pay for the lower end products. After exactly 1 year of owning this CAI, the parts started to fail. The rubber mounts were dry rotted, the actual air filter fell off at one point (found it just rolling around), and most importantly the plastic filter hose adapter completely cracked on its own. This past week my check engine light came on and it was related to the hose just dangling off to the side. Who knows how long it was like that.. Toyota technician said these after market CAIs always fail. Its best to just go with the Toyota TRD fabricated CAI. Luckily I held onto the OEM intake so I just reinstalled that. I thought this would be a pretty hard product to mess up, but again you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, on brand for Rough Country.

Received an open box but Amazon applied a credit.
5 stars for Rough CountryThe product is good quality and well built. The install is pretty straight forward. The only bracket that requires a little bit of thought is the front Z bracket that bolts near the power steering reservoir. (This bolt was missing, but I don’t fault RC for this) As for mileage and power gains I’ll post an update after a few tanks.3 stars for AmazonI ordered a new unit and received an open product that showed size of prior install on another individuals vehicle. There were parts all over the box and wife thought it was surely broken when she brought it in the house.I could have returned it and got a replacement but I waited over a month for this one to get here. I contacted Amazon to just get a credit and keep the opened box unit I received. After about 30 minutes on with customer service I received a $50 credit.Every thing was in the box except one bolt. Which I’ll grab from the hardware store next time I’m in there.
