This is a good buy. The LED light ring on the backside is annoyingly bright if you make the mistake of turning it over with the light on.

Heavier than I anticipated, but then I'm 86 years old. However, the light provided is excellent and the magnification is outstanding. Very pleased with the product.

Seems to work very well; magnifies greatly, once you figure out how to use it without making yourself cross-eyed! (Reading the instructions helps with that…)Very bright, even light is produced. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase!

I have a few magnifying lens that I keep around the house. This 10X one with LED lights is the best one that I have so far. The light is not only bright, but it also has a frosted cover that spreads the light so that there aren't dark spots. The magnifying lens comes in a velvet pouch. There are no written instructions. But all I had to do was put in three AAA batteries. What surprised me was that the battery compartment had a fabric strip (The batteries are installed on top of the fabric strip, and when you need to take out the batteries, you just pull on the strip.). The last time that I have seen a fabric strip in a battery compartment was when Radio Shack was popular.Overall, I would recommend this magnifying lens to anyone.

I have been using this now for over 6 months and it is perfect for my needs. With this magnifier, I can read the tiny print without squinting and feeling like I'm at the optometrist office trying to read the bottom line without my glasses. I don't understand why so many instructions and coupons and even some magazines will use a font size that is less than 8 point. Perhaps the printers are trying to save paper or hide what is written. I got an instruction leaflet for another product recently and I couldn't even figure out which section was written in English because the type size was so tiny, until I reached for this magnifier which I keep close by my desk. I have not noticed any distortion or problem with the lens clarity. The batteries that I put in 6 months ago are still working. I had no problem installing the batteries or getting it to work. The battery cover fits well and is easy to get on and off. The amount & quality of light is perfect. The light switch is easy to click on and I like that it stays lit until I push the light switch again to turn if off. Be aware that this is fairly heavy, and the lens section is heavier than the handle so I would imagine that it gets uncomfortable/awkward to use for long periods like when reading a book. But it works well for my uses and it was well worth the cost.

I will be retruning this item. I believe that the light switch is broken. Placed batteries in twice, switch still does not owrk. Since I am legally blind, I have to get someone to help me with the return.
