Q: what are the size dimensions?

Dimensions: The rack has a 46 inch wide and 50 inch deep foot print. The top of the pull up bar is 83 3/4 inch off the floor. The sides are 78 3/4 inch. The working area is 42 inch wide between posts and 24 inch deep between posts. The posts have 19 one inch holes that start 13 1/8 inch OC off the floor and are 3 inch OC apart. Every third hole has a small U shaped notch to make it easier to identify the same level between posts. There are 2 solid steel safety pins 1 inch in diameter which are 32 1/4 inches long thereby providing the 24 inch length between posts and 3 1/4 inch bar catch on the outside of the rack.. The safety pins weigh 7.5 lbs each. There are 2 safety hooks that are 6 3/8 inches long including the 3 1/4 inch bar catch and weigh 1.0 lb each. The safety pins and hooks are polished chrome and look very nice.The assembled rack is listed at 137 lbs; however, I was not able to measure this myself.

The top of the pull-up bar is closer to 84", while the top of the cage is approximately 79".

Q: I noticed the model doing squats is outside the rack. Is there an issue doing low bar squats inside the rack (i.e. too little room inside rack?)

No issues doing squats or deadlifts inside the rack. But for cleans and military press probably work outside if your taller than 5'8. Inside height height only 6 feet 7 inches.

Q: What is the gauge of the 2x2 tube used to manufacture this power rack? Are the safety bars solid or hollow?

I measured the thickness of the posts. It is 0.086 inches thick which means it is 14 gauge steel. The safety bars are 1 inch solid steel. They are not hollow.
