Jose Gourmet Paté 4 pack

These make a great charcuterie fishy board. Fun to try some ok some excellent. I bought the ones I liked again. This is a great way to narrow down your favorites.

If you have ever ordered the Jose 4 pack of canned seafood, then you know how delicious Jose products are. And the artwork on the containers makes you want to keep the cans to display. This product is a sampler of mackerel, sardine and tuna pate. Salty, smooth and slightly smokey. These arrived quickly, packaged beautifully, and ready to eat. We are ordering more for our holiday party!

I simply put the spiced mackerel pate on a cracked pepper Triscuit with a green olive on top. I'm buying this to gift to others. Not fishy (in the unappealing fishy way).

I bought the four pack of Josè patès to try and was surprised by the strong, fishy flavor. I have made, had fish patès in restaurants and tasted other canned fish patè products that did not have the strong flavor and odor. The underlying spices were wonderful. To be fair, perhaps my order was damaged by heat somewhere between canning and my opening the product. The rave reviews can’t all be a ruse. I’m going to buy the same products from a specialty foods store to see if I get the same results.
