Q: Is this actually made in japan, or china? i have been fooled before on amazon by counterfeit japanese goods that actually are chinese in origin.

I no longer have the packaging from my teapot but I did some research on the Amazon listing for the one I purchased and the information near the bottom of the listing shows country of origin as Japan. Regardless, I think you will like this item if you purchase it. I enjoy using mine. I do not, however, put in on an open flame. I heat my water and use my teapot to just brew my tea.
