I was mad at first, really mad. It was taking forever to get this. Upon receiving it, I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a beautiful knife. Very well made. It comes extremely sharp like a scalpel and to a point as a needle. Exactly what I wanted. The waiting was worth it. I would deduct one star for waiting but that wouldn’t be fair. The thickness and ability to retain the sharpness is superb. It’s the absolute perfect size I was looking for. The leather sheath will protect very well. I’m going to buy another as a gift for a good friend who appreciates this kind of craftsmanship.

Very nice looking out of hand. In hand, the blade is a little thin, and lighter than you would think. Appears the blade was just roughly ground out of flat stock. No contouring at all, just flat and straight. The handle is oversized. We'll see if it stands up to any use as a brush knife, as I intend to abuse it. Glad I only paid $48 for it. UPDATE: It holds a pretty good edge, takes abuse as a brush knife. It's my No.1 go to knife when I head out. Very impressive knife. I would buy another.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my brother. Looks just like the one used in the Crocodile Dundee films, and came with with a beautiful sheath. Knife is sharp and has a very nice, comfortable, handle. Excellent price for a knife like this, and it's huge!

Came quickly. Built wonderfully so far. It’s exactly what I expected in thickness and length. Handle is very comfortable. No knife you order is going to be sharp to your likeness, but it’s definitely close to what I want. Among the best made knives I’ve ordered so far.I think I have a new manufacturer.

The knife is great quality and exactly as advertised. The sheath is worthless. What ever dye they used stains everything the sheath touches. But for the price I still recommend buying the knife, just throw the sheath away and get a different one.

let's be honest I didn't buy this Bowie because I was going to carry it around for self-defense it basically was going into a museum of knives; however, having said that what I received was an item that had a slightly Bent blade and a completely off axis rat tail. I'm still very impressed by the looks and the feel of the blade but I have requested a replacement from the seller considering the price.UPDATE: a replacement was sent that fixed both of the problems mentioned in my review!
