Only one day in but it’s working perfectly!
Samsung dryer. One or more of the parts here failed due to a clogged plume on the roof. Brushed the vent pipe and cleaned it at the roof exit, it was time anyway. Still stuck in cooling mode so likely the thermal fuse did its’ job. * This kit is cheap enough, replace everything and don’t worry about troubleshooting. Pulled the dryer outside for plenty of space to work. Had it pulled apart just as Amazon pulled up…perfect! (This is a great opportunity to clean everything thoroughly inside). **** Please note *** The element housing has a gnarly ass sharp top edge at the opening that doesn’t look that dangerous. It’s fine but don’t chance using pressure and risk slipping without gloves, like I did. Very deep thumb gash***BEWARE***Only dodged stitching it because it was a very clean, smooth cut….so there is that.30 minutes later the dryer was reassembled but you can subtract half of that time if you don’t need first aid or stitches. All in all, a straightforward install that anyone with a screwdriver or multitool can tackle easily. And it’s a nice plus to know that every piece of lint is cleaned inside and outside. Personally, I think about safety scenarios often and this one always comes to mind. Stray lint and heat sources equal unnecessary anxiety. I would encourage all of you to disassemble and clean inside whether you need the parts or not. It’s something rarely thought about by most people but be proactive because fire is devastating! Stay safe.

Perfect fit works great! But quit after a month
Update - the heating element lasted about a month and has not been drying with just 1 cycle. Decided to tackle this and followed a you tube video. It looked like a bigger job than I thought but is very easy as long as you keep the screws you remove in order. I used a small tackle box with separate compartments. I changed all the sensors since it came with new ones. Saved me from replacing the drier! Very happy with this product. Use a shop vac and brush to clean up the lint inside the drier. Especially remove the blower motor cover and wash its amazing how much lint is built up inside there

My Samsung Dryer heater coil broke after 8-1/2 years
**12/17/2024 UPDATE** 10 months later my replacement heater element still works! As others did, I watched several DIY videos on youtube as I consider myself to be very handy and have a good amount of tools in my garage to do almost any reasonable home appliance repair. Here are my thoughts:1) I ordered this part and started the process of taking apart my dryer to get the heater core whilst waiting for delivery - this saves lots of time. I used a multimeter to determine there was still continuity in the thermal fuse and thermostat. Continuity was zero for the coil itself - I took apart the coil housing and found the break in the coil.2) I reassembled the heater core with the new coil and replaced the thermal fuse and the thermostat. The thermal fuse that comes with the coil matches the stock Samsung 320F temperature rating.Pro-tip...also ensure the unit is unplugged and get a multimeter. When I put the core back together, I tested the coil to ensure there was no short from the coil to the housing (ie no part of the coil was touching the sheet metal body) and retested the new thermostat and fuse for the correct ohms rating. Also when screwing in the machine screws - do not overtighten or you will strip the hole. When putting all seven screws back in for the housing, put them all loose first so you can get them to fit then tighten all at once - same with putting the bottom support bracket for the heater and the front and top panels.3) Do take several pictures of your wire connections for the heater core before you disconnect from the harness. When you are doing the installation work - take the time to vacuum all the lint out of the heater core housing, bottom of the inside of the dryer, and check/vacuum your dryer duct hose to ensure you don't have blockages that can lead to further heater damage or fire (vacuum and inspect both ends of the hose - at the dryer and the dryer vent termination outside your house)! Also vacuum the floor behind your dryer and washer as I am sure there's lots of dust/lint back there.4) Started the dryer and heater is now working - will update review based on long-term reliability. One gripe I have is that the wire leads are intentionally longer for this coil - and is advertised as such. I don't like that as that's more of a reason to create a short arc and shorten the life span of your new coil if the leads touch the housing. The lengths of the OEM coil leads are just the right length for installation. Another reason to check for shorts with a multi-meter before you reinstall the heater and plug in your dryer.

Wow.. Super impressed with this repair/upgrade kit. Came with EVERYTHING, saved me $3-400!!
Not the easiest to install.. (some directions would help).. but for the price, it probably saved me like $3-400! Luckily, I had already taken apart my Samsung dryer to replace the belt, pulley and rollers.. so I made quick work of getting to the heater box. Recommend TAKING PICTURES of all connectors before disconnecting anything! One confusing thing is that non of the parts are well labeled as to what they are (or where they go).. so you need to understand the difference between a safety-off thermostat, and on/off regulation thermostat, and terminals for the heater to hook to (and how to remove spade connectors). It also came with extra parts for the blower fan temperature cutoffs that I didn't need (because my heater coil was the only thing that was burned out).. so that was a little confusing.. but again.. if you don't know what you're going (I happen to be an EE who's done a lot of component level repairs).. then you might have a rough time making this repair, unless you find the perfect youtube tutorial.. or just carefully replace everything. Just be sure you get the belt and pulley back on correctly (the hardest part for me).Super glad I found this kit though! Me and my son knocked it out in like 1.5hrs.. and like I said.. saved me a ton of $$.. and was fun doing with my 13yr old. :)
