J.A. Henckels International 5-Piece Scissors Set

Henckels makes really good scissors, and this set of different types of scissors is a really good value for money. Had bought this set because I needed a new pair of kitchen scissors… the kitchen scissors included in this set are strong enough to be used as poultry shears, able to cut through the joints and even the breast and back bones. And at a price comparable to buying it solo from other retailers! So, the other scissors in the set are a very nice bonus!

This set is a "must have". I have had several pair of the kitchen shears over the years and love them. They even hold up to my husbands abuse (he uses them as if they were hand tools for the garage). I ordered the set but was not expecting the other scissors to preform as well. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and performance. Now...if I can keep my husband away from them...

The value of this set of scissors is legit. Great price for several pairs of good quality scissors.They are Henckels branded, but made in China. Certainly not the German engineering and craftsmanship I've come to expect from this high end brand.The quality of cut and sharpness is there, but the handles and firmness of the plastic is a lower quality than I expected.The garden shears are especially flimsy and are small even for my wife's hands.All of that said, I'm still happy with the purchase. Having a few pairs of scissors to spread out around the house just makes life easier for us.I'd recommend this set of scissors based on overall value, just prepare yourself for the quality to be a bit lower than your Williams Sonoma typer Henkels purchase.

This seems to be an OK set of light duty scissors. Not Henckels' best by far, but good enough. They are mostly made in China, not Korea, as the listing says. Ironically, the garden shears are the cheesiest, and they're made in Taiwan. I figure if I get a coup[le years use out of them I'll be happy.

I would give these a 5 star rating except for the fact that I own the really nice Henckels 4 Star Scissors which came with my knife set over 25 years ago. These are not the same quality. However, they are not the same expensive cost either. I purchased these because my other one seemed always to be in use and I found myself using them for things I knew I shouldn't. (For instance, trimming rose stems.)This set is very nice. It has a wide variety of sizes to meet a variety of uses. They are very sharp. As a matter of fact, they revealed how dull my Henckels 4 Star Scissors had become. I've used them all already. I'm pleased with the price and the product as a whole and would recommend them even to those who already own the best.
