REPLACEMENT GAS CAP!
I recently purchased a replacement gas cap for my 2007 Hyundai Sonata, and it has been a straightforward and effective solution. The cap fits securely, ensuring a tight seal that prevents fuel evaporation and maintains optimal engine performance. It's durable and well-made, offering reliable functionality at a reasonable price. Overall, I'm satisfied with its quality and performance, making it a practical choice for anyone needing a replacement gas cap.

Works
2017 Hyundai Tucson. Check engine light was on - code indicated a very slow leak in the evaporative system. Previous owner (friend) had taken it to a dealer who ordered a new purge valve for the evaporative system. We bought the vehicle before the part came in and with my automotive background was a bit skeptical of the valve being the cause of the CEL - from the code my first thought was the fuel cap. I have seen too many cases of mechanics just ordering a part to blow the customer off so they can move on to higher paying work. Installed the valve when it came in, reset the ECM and sure enough the light came back on after a couple miles. I let it go for months, the local dealer wanted $35 for a replacement gas cap which had to be special ordered and I was too busy at the time to bother, I had actually gotten a price on the cap when I picked up the purge valve. A year later I got tired of looking at the light and saw this for a fraction of the dealer price so I ordered it, installed in 2 minutes, most of which was trying to get the old tether to release, reset the light and problem solved. I have refilled the tank several times since and there doesn't appear to be an issue with the cap sealing properly either. So far so good, there have been some comments about reliability but time will tell. If this cap fails I'll get an OEM replacement at dealer price but for the time being I'm satisfied.
