Far cheaper than the "recommended" case sold by music stores
Does the job that a gig bag should, and for one third of the price. Even if I keep it in my house, I don't want it to fall over if I had NO case, right? Gigs for me on an EWI are a long way off, like maybe next lifetime around, eh? ha-ha

Good for EWI solo
Case fits EWI solo nicely. Seems like good quality - well padded. Unlike some other reviewers' experience, the case was not crammed in to a small box, but shipped in an adequately sized box and was not folded tightly.

For Akai EWI Solo
Fits perfect for Akai Ewi Solo. As far as I can say it is a valueable bag. Why one star less? About the packaging: the bag is folded three times and packed very tightly, so it takes a few days for the creases to slowly disappear out of the bag. You can still see the creases on my bag. Hope, they will disappear fully.Shipment was very fast. Although I live in Europe, the entire process from placing the order to holding the bag in my hands took only 10 days. Great

Fits my Akai EWI Solo perfectly
I like the fact that I can store cables with the instrument and that I am able to fasten the instrument within the case.

The only case I've been able to find that fits the EWI Solo.

This Case will DAMAGE your EWI Solo more than using no case
This CHEHERY Case will damage your EWI Solo more than if you used no case because it does not SAFELY fit the EWI Solo. Not only is the floppy case built with nowhere near enough padding to protect anything of value, its dimensions are too small for the dimensions of the instrument. This sizing issue of the case creates a hazard for the instrument. When other reviewers say it “fits well,” be warned! The case is designed about a half inch too short, so it creates actual pressure points on the instrument where the mouthpiece protrudes above the reinforced protection of the edge. When zipped, you will see bulges at the top and bottom of the case where the mouthpiece-cover and the bell of the instrument protrude past the profile of the zipper. These protruding areas are the LEAST padded. This pressure is then transferred along the length of the instrument where it will pull tightly upon the fragile neck strap mount causing it to press into the instrument. Picture a piece of fabric, taught with tension, centering all that pressure over the protruding neck-strap mount.I was so excited to purchase this case before a plane trip, but I was unconvinced by the wispy quality. So I decided to leave the instrument at home rather than fly with it in such a precarious case. Later, I used the case for a road trip, but by the time I arrived at my destination, the tightness of the case had caused the neck strap mount to lose a screw which is now rattling around inside my EWI. It would have been safer to wrap the EWI in towels or foam than to wrench it into this case.By the time I was able to test this case “in the field” it was past the 30 day return policy, so I am stuck with it. I guess I could use it carry a music stand, or other bits of bear, but the fact that it says “EWI Solo” on the side will forever be an insulting reminder that I got conned by CHEHERY.AGAIN: this case does NOT fit an EWI SOLO.Again: this case will not only fail to protect your EWI solo, this case by itself will damage your EWI just through the act of closing the zipper.I am surprised this company is allowed to use AKAI’s branding on a product which seems to have never held an actual EWI Solo during the design process. Another failure that indicates this item was not designed for actual use: the pocket for the power chord and charger is not big enough to hold the charging adaptor, let alone a 1/4 inch instrument cable which would be a need for any player. Furthermore, the pocket zips in the wrong direction. What I mean is that if your EWI is slung over your shoulder in the direction designed, the zipper opening is at the bottom of the pocket, rather than at the top. This arrangement would cause items to fall out if you unzipped it to add or retrieve anything. All in all, not only is this product is not worth the price, it will cost you the price of a repair to your instrument.Do.
