Initial Impression: 'Effing Fantastic!
Update: 10/30/2024The durability of this product is impressive. Since treating the plastic on my Wrangler over a year ago, it still looks dark black with only the faintest perceptible fading. While the plastic is still dark black instead of gray, it has only lost the shiny luster a bit. My vehicle sits outside 24/7 and is exposed to the harsh sun in the desert South West along with dust and monsoon rains. I have washed the vehicle using a self-service bay with high pressure sprayer and foaming brush about 5-6 times since application. At this rate I anticipate it will live up to the manufacturers claims. Go ahead and purchase this with confidence so long as you are willing to put the time in to properly prepare the surfaces before application.Initial Review submitted 9/27/2023Note: Other reviews stated they received dry sponges. It seems this issue has been resolved. I received mine on 8/20/23 and all four sponges were sopping wet as expected.Vehicle Treated: 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (2 Door) (with black plastic fenders/bumpers)Like all restoration work, proper prep is absolutely crucial. These are the steps I took and my impression of the results.1) I washed the vehicle with a stripping soap to remove all wax and previous treatments from the plastic areas to be treated.2) I then used a power washer (with no soap) with a 35 degree nozzle and sprayed very close and directly perpendicular to the plastic surfaces to remove as much wax/soap/dirt/oils etc.3) Inside a garage after the vehicle was left to cool for several hours, I used denatured alcohol with clean cotton towels to vigorously scrub down all trim to be treated. I repeated this step a second time. The product directions that come inside the package say to skip this step and instead use the included spray cleaner, I however opted to do both as I wanted the trim to be as clean as possible before applying the treatment.4) I then cleaned the trim surfaces with the included spray trim cleaner using a clean, barely-wet microfiber towel that had been wrung out to remove as much moisture as possible but was still damp. Because my previous cleaning prep was so thorough, I didn't need to use much of their product to clean the plastic surfaces. My microfiber towel showed very little dirt afterwards. I waited 30 minutes to make sure all plastic was completely dry before moving on to the next step.5) I applied the plastic treatment using my own gloves (the included gloves are too small for my XXL hands) and used very light pressure to prevent over-application initially as the sponges were very wet. I gradually increased pressure as the product was depleted from the applicator. I used small circular motions to make sure the small pores on the Wrangler trim were fully coated inside. I was able to treat all four wheel fenders, front and rear bumpers, as well as 3 door handles, two mirrors and the third brake light tower above the spare tire using three sponges. I suspect that removing as much crud from the plastic beforehand reduced the amount of product required to treat the entire vehicle. Bonus: I think I have enough left over to treat the plastic on my two motorcycles!** Product literature states to wipe the product off after 60 seconds or to leave it for more "sheen". I initially wiped a small area and did not like the matte look as it looked less like the plastic did when the vehicle was new. I opted to leave the product on without wiping it down after application for the shinier look. It looks just like the plastic did when I received the vehicle new from the factory.** The product literature also states conflicting information about cure times. The back of the sponge pouch states to let the product cure for 12 hours before exposing to water. However the included instruction card in the package states that the product needs to cure for 24-36 hours before exposing to water. I opted to cure in the garage for 48 hours before exposing to sunlight or water just to be safe. After the initial application, the treatment felt a little tacky. After curing for 48 hours, that tackiness cured to a hard layer that is now very smooth and slick to the touch.Impressions: While my plastic was not as faded (my vehicle is always garaged) as those shown in other Amazon reviews, the difference was striking on my 12 year old plastic. My trim now looks exactly like it did when the vehicle was new. It has been on for about a week as of the submission of this review. At this point with other products I have tried, I could see that they would have started to fade. This still looks amazing, granted a week isn't very long. I suspect it will last far longer than my previous attempts to treat it using Meguiar's/Mothers/Aerospace, etc. The plastic now also sheds water in a way it never did before when new. Water beads up and rolls right off. I am thoroughly impressed so far. I will try and remember to post an update in 6 and 12 months to see what the long term results are and if the product is as durable as the manufacturer claims. Stay tuned...

UPDATED REVIEW
NOTE: my original review is at the end, if anyone wishes to read first impressions.Shortly after my original review was published, I was surprised to receive a very gracious refund offer and apology from the seller. I did not expect and certainly did not request a refund. Josh, the seller’s rep, voluntarily offered a full refund and explained that there had been a temporary packaging issue which resulted in sponges which weren’t completely saturated with the lithium compound. A+ for honesty and top customer service. Now my own crucial error: I had applied the product in full sun during the afternoon. Really dumb mistake on my part which I admit. It’s no wonder that the results were unsatisfactory. Failing grade for me personally.Instead of a refund, I asked Josh if it might be possible to replace the lithium kit itself. He readily agreed, I received the replacement in short order and today I treated the extensive plastic trim on my Chevy Avalanche. This time I worked under the cool shade of my big pecan tree. Wow! This stuff works as advertised and my trim now looks great. The product itself is superb and customer service is outstanding. I’d buy from them again in a heartbeat.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I own a Chevy Avalanche which has quite a bit of plastic trim. Some of the trim had faded to a dull gray, so I decided to spend $40 (!!!) for this kit. The kit contains 4 SMALL sponges which are supposed to be saturated with the lithium stuff. My sponges were half dry, each containing only a minimal amount of the stuff. It’s nowhere near enough to do all my car’s trim and I quickly learned that it tends to streak, forcing you to apply another coating. Keep in mind that each sponge is really small and not very saturated, so a second coating wastes even more of the expensive compound. Overall, I wasted $40 on a mediocre, overpriced product. Instead of this, I’ll use 303 Aerospace Protectant which seems to do about as well. Much more product at half the price.

Frist Impression/ Bad product packaging
EDIT: Becarefull, there is no satement of when you need to use this after initial purchsee. opened the sealed outer bag and then all the indiviudal packages and they were un usable. I email the company and the only thing i got was added to there marketing email list. When they do work there amazing, so i would guess use them right after initial purchase.Been looking for a product to restore/improve the look of faded black plastic trim. I will say the first impression is execllent, easy to use and actually works. Used it on the back valance on a 2013 Camaro that was faded and looked very bad. Drys fast and did not stain. Will see how it last. Also used it on my 2017 Camaro side skirts and seems to work to improve the look. If it actually last will be buying again. We will see.

Improved trim look
Brought back the rich look of my pickup's black plastic door handles. Hope it lasts as long as they say! Of the 4 packs of product included in the kit, one was dried out and unusable. One worked well and the other 2 are still unopened, so we'll see how they hold up. I would purchase again.
