Permatex 22340 Fast Orange Grease X Mechanic's Laundry Detergent, 40 fl. oz.

Don’t know why it took me so long to realize they made detergent for mechanics clothes, but since purchasing it has been a game changer for laundering my husbands work clothes. Cleans very well and 1 bottle goes a long way if you follow the instructions. If you feel you need more than the recommended single capful for a load, it’s obviously not going to last you that long and tip: you should probably be soaking the clothes in dish soap to remove grease and oils before moving to the washer. Just saying. My husband is sensitive to overpowering smells and he’s also a little picky about smells in general. This does not bother him a bit, as the scent is not overpowering after the clothes have been washed and dried. Really grateful to have found this product. A regular purchase in our household.

First wash took 75% of the oil and grease out of the jeans and shirts, amazing! Second wash I would say in total removed 90% of all the stains. Clothes were heavily soiled with oil and grease, was very shocked how well it worked.

Works good, but didn't take all the stains out of my polyester high vis coat as I had hoped it would , but definitely did a better job than other products I've used.... it did however take care of the oder from the grease /oil in my work hoodie and other stinky clothing I washed, which I'm happy about that, as I didn't have to wash it more than once!I will have to try and use it directly on the stain before washing it next time to see if it makes a difference? , but I'm pleased with the results so far, it's not something I plan on using if I don't need to because it's a little pricy for the size!, but nice to have for greasy clothing and hard to remove oders!

My husband works at an oil refinery on a coker unit and comes home looking like he came out of a chimney sometimes... This stuff is great and removes all the grim and oil without drying out his skin

My husband is in the metal fabrication field and somedays he comes home covered in metal dust and/or some kind of fuel or hydrolic fluid *queue the facepalm*Regular detergent, even the HD Tide doesn't even phase his messes.... so I found this, marketed for mechanics and the oils and fluids they work with, so I thought I'd try it.It works well for the metal dust and the grease that follows, but it's not the best for hydrolic fluid. Takes care of gasoline and diesel fuel pretty good, although the smell of those lingers a bit after its washed, but it's better than anything else I've found.My biggest gripe - hence the 3 stars - is the seller, or whoever was in charge of getting it delivered. I ran out and needed some in a pinch and it's always been available with prime delivery, but the last two times I've ordered it, the delivery was canceled and I wasn't given a reason why, so I had to find it elsewhere (which cost me more, but it wasn't bad - worth the trade for the Amazon frustration)It's definitely a great detergent, does its job and smells orange-ish, but it'll continue getting it elsewhere.

My husband works oilfield, he does well tests, sometimes he gets deep raw crude stains.( very thick and stinky) Tide doesn't touch it, oxi clean soaking for days, doesn't touch it.Besides the stained pants shirts; theres the smell on the clothes and in my washer.I've tried commercial detergents and stain release for oil based stains, etc.Nothing has worked until this little bottle. My washer smells clean too. That is a first!!Being honest here too.....Some stains do require soaking and maybe even spot scrubbing with a brush.On articles with heavier stains, I will spot scrub and then soak in washer for a couple hours. Then another final wash. With other detergents, there was never enough soaking,scrubbing or washing that removed stain and smell. If spot scrubbing on occasion and washing maybe twice is what it takes, then I will continue to buy Fast Orange, because that is all it takes!!Some reviews noted how small the bottle was.No joke on that!! It is small, but mighty!!Now, if theyd make a bigger bottle, it would be super greatly appreciated!!

This really helps to get automotive grease and oil, etc., out of the boy's laundry after he works on his cars. A little expensive, but only takes a tiny bit and it saves some clothing from going in the trash.

Stepson is doing school apprenticeship and I was spending multiple tries to clean his work clothes. Even with Tide and soaking with oxiclean, clothes were not coming out clean and still smelled liked mechanical grease. This detergent works great to break down the grease and wash it away along with the smell. The clothes are not stain free but much better than with just Tide. I do run my washing machine clean cycle more regularly now but this detergent helps a lot.
