Flame King Grill Gun Propane Torch, Culinary Kitchen Torch for Sous Vide Cooking, Searing, Professional Cooking, Charcoal/Fire Starter

This torch is great for getting that final bit of crust on steaks, and especially useful when using the reverse sear method. I’ve even finished pork and chicken with it!I recently bought an adapter so I can connect this to a regular 20lb tank. Separating the tank from the torch prevents it from changing the amount of flame when I tilt the torch.

I bought this to throw in my fire kit. It’s fun and a good conversation starter. It makes a big loud flame and can spark up almost anything in a flash, so be careful with it.There is no indicator on mine for where to set the adjustment dial, which the instructions state should be there, so it takes a few clicks and turns of the dial to get it going. Also, after use, the metal gets too hot to touch, so you need to be careful not to brush it up against yourself or someone else, and make sure it can’t tip over and melt or ignite something you like. That’s why I give it a four.

This torch doesn’t come with the container! It only looks like it does, online. So I had to go to the local propane store & buy a propane container with propane for $25. I couldn’t believe the container was the same company as the Torch, so it was meant to be! It was ez attaching the two. When my husband pressed the little red button, WOW! The flame was huge. We had to lower it, but it was perfect for crisping our smoked steaks! This is also gonna come in handy for lighting our chiminea & our charcoal grill! I’m vry happy with our purchase!

Once I learned that you need only to have a minimal gas flow to ignite there were no issues.eAfter using up several propane tanks, I attached the torch on another tank. Oddly, it went on a whole lot easier than the previous tanks used. The reason was quickly discovered. What had happened is that the small tube that is suppose to allow access to the propane was missing. Sure enough, it was still stuck in the recently discarded tank.I contacted Flame King and inquired if there was a warranty on the unit. There is! It's a one-year warranty. Flame King promptly sent out a replacement.Definitely would buy again.

I use this to start my campfires. Once I get the wood stacked and the kindling ready I just light this baby up and point it at the Fatwood. Bam, we have ignition! No more wasting my time with lighters.
