Do these work for PS1?

Only one will work with both of my ps1. When both are on and connected both controllers will NOT work.

Has anyone used padtest.elf to verify the analog range of the buttons and joysticks match that of a Sony controller?

No but I purchased them and there's a noticeable dead zone when playing games. I would move the joystick and nothing would happen until I moved it further and the character would run instead of walk like I intended.
