Fantastic hybrid
Originally purchased for a trip through Jordan and Israel, when I couldn't decide between a suitcase and a backpack. Now coming with me for a journey through Central Asia. It's the best of both worlds. The wheels are sturdy and easy to manoeuvre and the backpack harness is surprisingly comfortable and tucks away neatly. It's not as roomy as a traditional suitcase but large enough for me. Zips and fabric seem very durable. I also like the compression straps. Doesn't fall over even when fully packed.

Wheel Defects
This product has had great reviews and I really like the concept - perfect for a month of rail trips around Europe. But, I had to send the first bag back because one of the wheels did not turn freely - it rubbed against the side and this in turn caused the bag to click with every wheel rotation. So, I sent it back - no complaints about the pick-up service by Evri, which was very good - and then faced almost exactly the same problem with the replacement bag, with one of the wheels visibly not aligned properly. For a bag that costs £230 and which sells itself on its combi-rucksack/case qualities, and will mostly be wheeled, this is really not acceptable. It makes me wonder if all the new Unisex versions of the Farpoint have this defect?

Would be 5 stars for design but 4 stars due to thin material.
If you want to travel light, be able to wheel along luggage and have option to wear it as per ruck sack when you arrive at destination (e.g. me at quayside and walk up 4 or 5 decks on the vessel through narrow corridors of the ship), this is a well designed piece of luggage. However, I reckon the material is too thin, in particular the side handle just invites a luggage handler to use it but it is not sewn onto strong material nor does it have strong material to back it. (Update - my mistake, closer inspection shows just a bit of extra sewing material on the inside behind this handle but I am still not convinced it is strong enough for repeated use.) Hence I am tempted to cut the handle off but have left it to see how many trips this Farpoint Wheels will survive. One more tip - not ever seen an add-on water bottle holder option by Osprey but found one by Marmot (purchased 2 on Amazon also, which I attach to side handle of this and the Farpoint 36 Wheels. You would need the holders if you jam the inside of packs such that there is no room to slot a bottle into the nets of the Osprey packs.)

Not secure
I know it's a soft bag so not totally secure. It has a lockable main zip but then other large pockets outside at the top and side, not lockable and inside these is a flimsy lining between them and the contents of your bag. So someone could easily get in and zip them back up.

Very very poor build quality
I’ll start with I love Osprey. This bag however is just a nightmare and in less than a year has started falling apart.Very very dissatisfied

The optimal bag
I love this. I traveled around Europe by train for a month with this and it help up great. I mainly used it a suitcase and the handle was good and it was easy to carry up and down stairs thanks to the handles on each side. I used it as a backpack a couple of times and it worked good as that as well. Only thing to note is that it is bigger than a normal backpack when used as such, mostly around the head (more square because of the frame) but it didn’t bother me much. It’s pretty easy to take out and put away the straps but not something you do every time you go up or down a flight of stairs. I would recommend this if you prefer a suitcase and will use it as such most of the time but sometimes want to be able to carry it on your back.

Great capacity
Bought this as an spacial upgrade to a previous backpack as my toolbag I carry inside has doubled on size as the year goes on.It's been months and I'm still managing to fit everything I want in there, and then some!

Perfekt
