Great “dumb” watch
Great watch if you want something simple, dependable and fairly priced. It’s light, easy to read and very durable. A winner.

Feature Packed. High Value for the Price!
I searched and did not find another adventure oriented watch on the market with this many features at this price point ($168 as of this writing). Similar watches were found for $300+, and most of them aren't titanium! I was surprised to find that the titanium band also has a quick release feature (for switching out the band) along with an easy to use sizing tool to remove/add links. The key feature of the watch - triple sensor - did not disappoint. Each of the triple sensor features were calibrated and functioned well right out of the box. And all of the watch modes are easy to access and very intuitive along with being very readable on each screen. As for the solar charging, the watch was already charged (to Medium charge level), but was easily topped off to max charge after only a short (2hr) time next to a sunlit window. However, its worth noting that regular lamplight did not seem to be efficient at charging the watch. The only downside is that the watch arrived with packaging that was already opened. But, everything was intact and I chalk that up to the Amazon delivery driver and nothing to do with Casio. Bottom line - you can't go wrong with this watch. Being former military, I will say that its a great watch for that context as well as for weekend warriors, hikers, outdoor enthusiast, and anyone who needs a highly capable watch that has life sustaining/supportive functions.

Excellent product at an incredible price.
For many many years I have been using a CASIO Pathfinder watch, that was eventually showing the effects of years of use and abuse. Looking for a replacement watch I came across the CASIO PRO TREK PRG340 series and was really surprised for all the new features it has, in a really nice and modern design and with the CASIO guarantee of good quality and new features. The delivery time was excellent and I am really glad with my new watch that has replaced my old Pathfinder.

Nothing is tougher.
Soo glad I got the titanium watch band!! Always fits perfectly and never have any problems with it popping off or getting caught on anything. All other watch bands and brands don't know what being tough is. Have worn it everywhere, everyday for a year and it still looks beautiful. I work maintenance covering over 100 acres, 80% of the time by myself. Had colleagues say you shouldn't wear that to work it will get trashed and I said you'll see. Even better than my last tough solar watch in holding up and only thing scrub it in the shower, rinse dry and Bam!! Good as new. Only complaint is that the watch was supposed to have Atomic timekeeping in addition to the ton of other features but it didn't? Hey Casio check on that and when you see I'm right send me the correct one. Please

Very Accurate
I bought the titanium band version as I prefer metal bands when available for longer life and greater comfort in high summer temperatures. They are subject to scratching but as a retiree I am easy on watches. My sample remains within 1 second of my atomic clock after 2+ weeks of wear so excellent accuracy. No real need for Multi Band 6 radio synchronization with this accuracy level though I do have watches with that feature. The triple sensor provides more features than I need and I like the sunrise/sunset calculation capability. Solar charging is also great. Overall a excellent light weight outdoors man's watch.Currently, and when I bought it, the Titanium band version is a best buy as Amazon has it for the same price as the resin band versions. Per the listed MSRP the titanium band version is normally a $50 cost premium. To me the titanium band version is a much dressier looking watch and titanium does not wear out like resin bands do.

Impressed
I’ve wanted this watch for a long time, and I’m so happy I pulled the trigger. I can’t believe how comfortable and lightweight it is. As soon as you pick it up and put it around your wrist you can feel the quality. The features I like the best are the solar feature and the auto light. You can set it so the backlight comes on when you tilt your wrist. And because it’s solar it detects light and only comes on when it’s in low light conditions. Something else to mention is its size. It’s not nearly as big as I thought it would be. It’s very flat compared to most of my G Shocks. So far I’m very happy.

Love love love this watch
I've been wearing digital casios since 1981, most recently the G-shock series. However, the G-shock seemed oriented towards very high durability and a military look, which seemed unnecessary. Some of them had features on the face, for example graphic illustration of the passage of seconds or phases of the moon, that seemed decorative rather than useful. These resulted in cluttered faces. The Pro Trek is simple and functional. Date and time are very visible with a glance. Battery with solar replenishment (and a small charge status indicator), no USB charging. My phone will give me global positioning with a bigger format, no need to duplicate with a watch that will just be one more thing needing charging. One drawback is that some of the minor indicators on the face for settings are much too small, but these are ones that are typically set and not adjusted. I love the very visible compass feature (even though my phone does have one), useful in both urban and nature settings. The Pro Trek is fairly large but is more comfortable that my previous smaller G-shock. Sometimes things are just very pleasing, and this is the case for me with the Pro Trek. I've dropped and banged it a number of times and anticipate continued durability even if it's not a G-shock. BTW, Amazon had an unusually good price, which often is not the case.
