This book feels like talking to a friend. You can follow every solution there is. The way she has poured her experience in this book shows how she is so relatable.

The book is quite ordinary, considering my expectations from a former First Lady of the United States. While she discusses small acts of kindness, which is commendable, I was hoping for a more impactful message, which seemed to be lacking. Overall, it's an average work, not very impressive.

I loved that Michelle Obama gave such an empathetic understanding of the troubles and unfairness that minorities face, and the negative emotions that generates as a result. Many of her tools are practical, solid and insightful. What I felt was that since the book was written in the midst of the pandemic and Trump era, in the midst of BLM movement, her natural joy was tempered by these calamitous circumstances. She spends more time acknowledging and emphatizing with those grievances. In this book, we feel the pain more than we feel her joy, which made me feel a bit sad as I'm so used to sharing this couples normally uplifting messages.However, in the chapters about best friends, about her mom, and the last chapter, that particular aspect of her spirit shone through in bits and pieces. Overall, I think this book will resonate with anyone who has felt marginalized, an outsider, and help them to shine brighter.

What will strike the reader is the honesty and immediacy in the writing style. It acts as a motivational book.This book is to be savored slowly and acts as a bedside book where at the end of the day you turn the pages and the former first Lady talks to you, as one would talk to a friend.I do hope this book finds its way into your lives..RegardsDr Nira Konar
