Q: Would these be suitable for listening to music on PC whilst working/studying?

Yes and please don't listen to the other guy, your PC and phone will be able to power this headset just fine

Q: Are these perfect with a Phillips cd Walkman?

As general purpose HPs the K240s are a terrible choice, they are designed for studio mixing, if you want a pair to use with your portable CD player, there are lots of much better sounding HPs to chose from, many much cheaper than the K240s.

Hi, I have the akg k240 mkII. Its sound is flat. It is compatible with the outputs of your piano. It has a 3.5mm mini-plug jack and comes with a 6.35mm adapter (for your piano).

Q: How do these sound when used with a phone, given there high impedance? Is the volume ok does the sound suffer.

Volume fine with tablet (haven't tried phone) - the level of isolation and close fit probably means not too much level actually needed - I have used them to monitor a keyboard mix next to a very loud drummer with no problem.
