Bought as a present for my wife so she could make her own terrarium, this was a great kit, contained everything you need to get a great result as you can see from the picture, however please remember it did not include the actual terrarium nor the plants.

Stuck sticker on the box - which I didn't want as it was meant to be a gift
The product itself looks good and easy to use instructions, I haven't grown anything yet, so I can't say if it grows well. When I received the box, unfortunately they stuck the delivery sticker on the box itself.I wanted to give this as a gift to someone over Christmas, but couldn't in the end as taking off the sticker ruined the presentation of the box.I would have liked to have emailed the seller privately - but can't seem to find the email address! Hopefully my feedback will be heard.Other than that, the product looks promising, I like the idea of organic veg, and I have ordered another one, which hopefully will make it as a gift to my friends. They do quick delivery which is helpful.

Great starter pack
This was my second purchase as found it to be a great wee pack and informational.Only problem with this purchase is the seeds packs are so much smaller than before making it no longer worth the money as you get so much more seeds out other packs cheaper.Last year's crops where awesome and I'm sure this year's will be to just shame about quantity.Iv only gave it three stars due to the quantity or it would have got five.

Some of the other tree seeds look like they are starting to mould
Well it's been a week since I've planted and have had one little Scott's pine pop up. Some of the other tree seeds look like they are starting to mould. I maybe adding too much water. But still early days one more week and I will transfer any ones that aren't germinated into the fridge as the instructions state. A good amount of seeds in each packet I still have some left over for a second and maybe third try. Will update review at a later date.Update 4th January 2018. 3 more Scott's pine seeds germinated and are growing fast one looks droopy but that might be because it's still attached to the seed. I'm yet to see cherry and Judas germinate. They are both in the fridge now.. the red Maple and fern seeds all went mouldy, I'm not sure why.. it could be something I done wrong. I would advise not using the lollypop sticks as they seem to be a home for mould, use a sticky label on a plastic straw instead. Will continue updates throughout too see if any survive. Update. Three Judas seeds germinated in the fridge, I accidently killer one so leaves me with 2 seedlings. Lol.

A wonderful piece of kit - even for a novice!
My mother loved gardening, and I would always marvel at how she revelled in watching plants grow from scratch. She passed away recently and when I saw this I thought of her and I wanted to try it myself. I am definitely a novice, but the different components all come in neat little packages with a very succinct and clearly explained instruction booklet, that even I could easily understand. I decided I would start with the Red Maple seeds as it reminded me of my recent trip to Japan and it was very easy to follow the instructions and sow the seeds. I will now wait patiently (or at least try to!) for the next few weeks to see the seeds germinate and can’t wait to see my beautiful Bonsai tree created from scratch. Then I will move onto the Dawn Redwood, Judas Tree, Mountain Pine and Cornelian Cherry Dogwood and create a little tree for each room in our house. I also have other friends whom I will be thoroughly recommending this product to, as it is so easy to follow and a brilliant idea for a gift. In fact I wish I had seen this before Christmas as It would have been a wonderful gift for a lot of people that I know!

Returned
I have about 20 houseplants, but I've not made a terrarium before so I thought I would try a kit. There's no where near enough stuff in this for a 20cm fishbowl.Drainage stones- The little bag of drainage stones is 2cm deep and 10x10cm square- the instructions recommend a depth of 2cm for the clay soil, so if the bottom of your fishbowl is bigger than a 10x10cm square, there isn't enough. Cacti Soil- The bag of soil contains roughly 500cm3 of soil. The recommended depth for the soil is "aim for slightly deeper than the height of the pots your plants came in." Having got the smallest plants I could, the pots they are in are 4cm deep. So for a 20cm bowl with 5cm deep soil, I would need 1256cm3. So there's less than half the amount of soil I need for a 20cm fishbowl.Moss- had several bits of twigs in it. The twigs aren't green, so hopefully that means that the moss is it's natural colour rather than dyed. But it would also mean having to pick through it carefully and remove all the bits of twigs and leaves.Charcoal- seems okay. The instructions just say a thin layer, so whether there is enough depends on how thick your layer isTools- there are a pair of plastic tweezers that are pretty short to place your decorations. I wouldn't have used tweezers so no comment there. There is a wooden spoon to dig a hole in your soil to place your plants in. Seems unnecessary when most people that will be buying this will already have spoons that can be washed. There is also a plastic spray bottle for watering the plants, which has the brand urban sprout written on it, and the plastic looks pretty scratched.Decorative shells- they come in a little plastic bag. Most the shells look okay but there are bits of shell broken in the bottom of the bag, so there's probably some imperfections I haven't seen. I would assume this is because they aren't the most well protected by how it was packed. They are also mostly pale colours I don't think they would show up great against the white decorative stones.Decorative stones in white- they look like perfectly good white decorative stones, but again, there just isn't a whole lot of them.Instructions- The instructions show how little effort has been put into making this kit. There are several spelling errors that would have easily been caught by a spellcheck on Microsoft word. The instructions seem okay in what they are saying mostly. However, it says "you may want to trim down the roots if they are very long". It is okay to trim down roots on a plant, but beginners, who I expect will be the majority of people buying this kit, will need more instructions on how to trim the roots so they don't accidentally kill the plant.Packaging- The packaging is not like the picture on amazon. It is a brown box, that looks like I would be posting something in it, with a sticky label on top, which isn't even stuck on straight. I would be embarrassed to give it as a gift because it just doesn't look good.

Good little kit as a gift.
Great little kit. Quite a few seeds germinated within a couple of weeks of planting. Good success rate.
