How hard is the plastic?

It's hard. Hard enough that you wouldn't want to step on it barefoot and you shouldn't expect to be able to manipulate the shape or position of the ankylosaurus. On the plus side, that also means it's hard to enough to survive the onslaught of 2 toddlers with no ill effects.
