How well does this work on suede? I'm dying white suede to black.

I have used this on suede to recolor some old, faded, black suede shoes. It worked well for me and the shoes are as black as it gets. I have seen youtube videos of people recoloring shoes with this and it required multiple coats. This container was a bit small and you may need two for a major color change. Also be sure to remove any waterproof coating from your suede before attempting to dye.

Can you use this in conjunction with mink oil, or does using an oil make this dye lift or smudge?

I have not tried mink oil specifically, but there is no reason to believe that you will have a problem. Though you should remove any previous polish or mink oil from your leather before applying this. You can expect this dye to sink into your leather, change its color, and then be able to apply polishes or oils on top of it without any lifting or smudging.
