UniqueRV Digest-It+, Extra-Strength RV Toilet Treatment - Liquifies Waste and All Brands of Toilet Paper - Odor Eliminator (32 oz)

A few years ago, I conducted a similar experiment, comparing black and gray water tank treatments using dog poop. In that experiment, TankTechsRx came out the winner over the other product (I’m sorry, I no longer remember that product’s name), as it did a much better job of reducing the odor.I recently encountered this product, which had good reviews, so I bought a bottle of it—Unique RV Digest-It—to compare with my TankTechsRx. Unique showed how their product would digest dog kibble, and that it has a similar composition to human waste: protein, fat, carbohydrate. So I tried it myself. The experiment was this: I mixed a capful of each product with water to nearly fill a small glass, and then I placed five pieces of small dog food kibble in each glass and let them sit. The photo showing the glass with the brown colored liquid is the one with TankTechsRx product, which is naturally brown.Result: Within 12 hours or so, the Unique RV Digest-It had reduced the kibble to a sludge at the bottom of the glass, whereas the glass with the TankTechsRx still held solid chunks of kibble. The odor was also different, with the TankTechsRx glass smelling a bit funky, while the Unique RV Digest-It glass had a faint, but rather pleasant, almost floral, smell to it.I will be using Unique RV Digest-It from now on in my gray water tank. We have a composting toilet, so we don’t use a black water tank. However, we have been spraying a mixture of water and TankTechsRx in our composting toilet, which has seemed to help with the composting process and odor control. I will now be trying the Unique RV Digest-It in the same way, expecting good results. I would surmise from my experiment that Unique RV Digest-It would work well in a black water tank and accomplishing what it advertises:1. BREAKS DOWN SOLID WASTE INSIDE TANKS. Liquifies human waste and all brands of toilet paper. Digests residual sludge from years of build-up. Works in black and gray tanks.2. ELIMINATES TOILET & TANK ODORS without masking. Extra strength activated cleaners eliminate odors at their source without covering them with overpowering perfumes.3. HELPS PREVENT SENSOR MALFUNCTION. Cleans and removes solid waste and paper before it can cling to sensor probes, preventing misreads.Yes, I have no association with either company. Yes, I suggest others give Digest-It a try.

I like this stuff. I just ordered our 4th bottle. Works better than I would have expected. I've yet to notice smells while using, although I am pretty good about flushing and dumping my tanks. I also follow the manufacturer on social as they give good advice.We don't use RV type TP, just standard Charmin, or whatever higher end we can find. I admit, I have and do use "Dude wipes" because we have bidet at home. TP just sucks. I've tried all the many types of tank treatments, and thus far the Unique brand has outperformed.

This stuff was great. It unclogged my RV tank! Plus when it was emptied everything smelled neutral! Fantastic!

This is one of the better RV tank additives. It was recommended by our RV tech who had to clean a "poopcicle" from our tank. This keeps things liquid and no clogs in over 2 years. We live in our RV, so a good tank chemical is paramount to keeping things fresh and flowing.Cost wise, it is comparable with TSS and much better than the Thetford we were using. Admittedly, since we live in TX, in the summer we have to add a bit more to the tank to keep summer septic odors from leaking back into the living area.We empty into our son's septic system once weekly and use a macerator. The blades don't struggly with the processing of the tank contents like they did with the Thetford. Solid waste and toilet paper (quick dissolve) isquickly ground and disposed of. No clogs, which makes my son happy.

Moved into an RV for the first time. Untreated black tanks smell awful. Imagine rotting beefaroni.A little bit of this after every empty (following their instructions) is amazing. Within an hour or so, bad smells are dead. Works for many days. Feel with this + an occasional hose out, you're going to have a happy black water tank/rv bathroom experience.

We bought a new, used RV. We immediately used it. We can't remember all the mumbo jumbo the sales guy gave us, but one of the things he mentioned was the tanks and something about filling them and they are all good or something on that order. Thought that was strange but we have never bought used before. However we needed bigger and didn't want ther bigger price. So in the first week it was clogged. At least the sensors said so. Not sure if it was a true clog or if it was sensors, whatever it was, it fixed it. My husband wanted to get a brand he's familiar with but I'm sticking with this. This stuff is great. In one use and in one day it fixed the sensor saying it was full. Was it sensors or clog, don't know? It's fixed!

The Digest is the best thing ever to use on your campers. Previously we were using some kind of tablet you got at Walmart, and it always stunk in our black tank, when I switch to this, it did wonders for our black tank. No more smell very, very happy with the product that’s the only thing Full-time in our camper
